This bait is specifically used when targeting Cracker or Brusher. I will only use the Land-It 2x Heavy or 4x Heavy when targeting Cracker, as the cracker is well known for either crushing hooks or bending them open. The Land-It hooks have proven themselves time and time again for being affordable and strong.
The Armadillos can be found either in rock pools or tidal areas where they can easily be collected off rocks or in crevasses. Depending on their size 3 or 4 should be sufficient for a bait. You can either cut them out of their shells, or what I prefer to do is, break their shells with a chokka hammer and at the same time releasing extra scent.
This is a very hardy bait and the peckers won't destroy this bait very quickly, therefore being in the zone for a lot longer. Please note that you are allowed 6 per person per day.
