I love Armando Iannucci. He has a quiet confidence in his presenting style (also apparent in the Armando Iannucci Shows), which makes him seem simultaneously authoritative while spouting the most arrant nonsense.
You're a legend Alan, thanks for the uploads man!!!! Armando's the funniest guy on the planet, like Woody at his best. I got all his stuff on DVD, but know nothing about torrents,s o great to see some stuff like htis and Armistice that isn't available t us Internet dorks!
One of the problems with that sign is its sheer size (more apparent in the long shot); if it was smaller they wouldn't have been able to fit so much in but at the same time that's just one of the things that makes it impossible to read what it says in one fell swoop (and even when you have read the words they don't make a scrap of sense).. What a total mess.
2:58 anyone notice the list of possible episode storylines for the Thick of It series "2" -- this would have been the second series with Chris Langham after the first series of 6 episodes. This must have been filmed before (or quite soon after) Langham's arrest (November 2005). As far as I can remember from commentaries, I think the episode storylines were established before the shooting scripts were assembled, but in any case the series must have been in pre-production in mid 2005.
yeah which show WERE u at? i was going to ask that. he's almost famous for being the most self effacing guy in the business. ive read many times him taking the piss out of himself, his own mistakes, the shows that haven't worked. even very cynical 'i know everything about comedy' types all seem to like him. seriously which pilot?
