Armanz Has Ruined Arena and Needs an Immediate Nerf 

I don’t want to rely on armanz every first pick and I don’t want to fight armanz on every matchup. They can nerf urogrim so fast which doesn’t break the game in fact helps a lot of player to progress. Plarium logic never fails to amaze me.

I'll fight 3 fully builds in mythic wukongs and an UDK anytime than coming across this abomination.

I completely agree with you. Armanz confirms your loss if you do not win the speed battle. Makes you not want to play any pvp content

What plarium needs to fix is not armanz, but baning phase before picking. 3 bans for one, and 3 bans for the other. Or even 5 bans for each player. So all the broken champs gets out of draft. That way the whales will still had a big advantages over the lower spender, but the fight will be much more balanced imo

Armanz is like cadaver of pvp. If you don't use him, well, you're at a massive disadvantage and won't ever compete.

I'm gold 1 LA and I'm borderline F2P. I missed out on Armanz cause I didn't have the resources saved up, and it made LA 10x harder cause I can't ban the normal champs that I was able to ban, so I could at least have a fighting chance. Now, they pick him and then a team like Siphi Rotos Yumeko and Mikage, and I'm just screwed cause I can't ban anyone besides Armanz..... and there is just NOTHING I can do. maybe I should just swipe the card, drop a couple grand the next 2x voids so I can get all the meta champs, but man...... its terrible how much he's picked and how powerful a single champ is

He is straight up op. Always the first pick in gold, and you have to ban him unless you are faster. If faster, you can nuke him or lock him out. If not, you are in an endless loop. Paired with wu kong it gets laughable. Even stone skin isn't safe because half your team is eternally a sheep. I like the 5 turn cooldown idea, but if they can't kill you when you are out of commission for two turns then they don't know how to build a nuker.

I absolutely think they should change the Sheep debuff, regardless of whether Armanz gets a rebalance or not. Sheep is broken beyond broken and Polymorph should be circular-filed.

Hey Drock! Respectfully disagree that Armanz is a problem. There's all kinds of counterplay available to him (high resist, stoneskin, lockout, ally attack, to name a few). Can also just ban him - opponent has now revealled their ban pick, and you can focus on counterpicking the rest of their choices. Or, as I say, don't ban him (they may have been counting on you to), and instead disrupt their other champ selections with a tactical ban and with your own champ selections. He's just a new problem, but not a problem that can't be dealt with.

For end game arena players you guys have so many problems. Armanz is fine for me in the lower tiers. Have a good day😊

Armanz A2 needs to not steal the TM and possibly increase it to a 4 turn CD. I counter it pretty well with a SS Krixia with 800 resistance, I recognize thats not a viable solution for most. The reason ftp (which I'm not) get angry is understandable though. He's a strong champ that they were able to get. If you're a ftp who's had bad or meh rng and he's you're only strong champ having him nerfed feels like a kick in the nuts. He is objectively OP but the ftp view is understandable as well. Sheep should not decrease the champs speed to 150, a champ should keep their same speed and when sheep drops off they should return to the same HP level. If they wanted to go further so that every champ isnt built in polymorph (especially nukers) they should make it so 6 star polymorph isn't unresistable but ignores some resistance, they could find a sweet spot for that percentage of ignore res.

Drock, We have players stuck in 3V3 and cannot get out of their level in order to compete their mission at hand. I for one have been in Silver One for nine months... That's a bigger problem right now, Missions tied to advancement in 3v3.

Live Gold 2 Arena: I have around 85% winrate if opponent doesn't ban my Armanz. Rest of the time barely have 55% winrate. I just play speed teams and its slippery slope and certain live arena times opponents seems to be alot harder. Rather have speed meta where games are decided in 2mins rather than waiting UDK's stone skin drop after 5minutes of stalling. Oh the joy's of battling UDK, Marischka and another reviver its just automatic new battle for me.

Mythrala can counter him with high acc n resistance its not a great option but it does work

I hope they don't nerf him too bad; he's the reason I got my first full DT Hard clear this past rotation.

People invested a lot into Armandz and I wish they hadn't released him the way he is but these mythicals are way OP too. Krixia is basically a lockout, buff remover, skill resetter and a cleanser who is immune to lockout and scales off resistance. It's like a mix of some of the most powerful champs all in one kit and it doesn't matter if my gear is better my yumeko is just irrelevant against her and the other mythicals.

I have to agree with you I mean I have the guy but he goes in "GOD MODE" if you're not fast enough...that's draws..and if you don't ban him in live arena...it's over...feel blessed to have the Champion...but the restrictions he brings to the table...is astonishing,magnificent...if you will!!

I went up against a solo armanz in tag team and one single champion juggled my team for nearly 5 minutes. He kept cycling between aoe stun and sheep that I pretty much did not get a single turn. But it wasn't strong enough to kill me so my entire team just sat there being CCed the entire time... against a SOLO armanz. He is beyond broken and pretty much anyone who picks first in gold LA has to pick armanz to block out the other team from choosing armanz

I went up against someone in LA with an armanz avatar. I got first pick and choose Armanz and the guy quit right away lmao. You can tell that the champion is broken just how people are leaning on him so much as a crutch.

No question that Armanz is totally disruptive and OP, but IMO he has shifted the Live Arena Meta in truly positive ways. There is finally an accessible counter to the Toxic pairings of Tara/Marichka and Narses/Ankora. He is definitely tough to counter, but the answer is a balance of Speed, Resistance, Stone Skin, Skill Lockout...I still ban a Taras or a Narses every time and just deal with Armanz. I only do Live Arena a few days per week because the time windows are bad for me, so I am still climbing G2 Live, but personally, I am having more fun in Live Arena than I have since the very beginning.

I recently started playing raid again, I used to like arena but armanz has completely destroyed it for me. Really wanted to finish my great hall as well

100% agree. Makes him an absolute pick or ban otherwise you lose. LA has become….You pick first??….. you win since you first pick armanz. Boring

Armanz, Wukong etc were released to allow non-krakens to compete in higher levels of PvP. This evens out the playing field a little bit. You get to pick Armanz 50% of the time and of course he's nr1 ban target. You definitely have the champs to counter him (speed + skill lockout) Imo Armanz is helping 99% of the player base. (I play in Gold III live, medium spender)

If krakens are crying, it's probably a good thing.

He made the arena toxic, he dose so many this together that he hard to counter and if you don’t ban then you are done for that match

Maybe we can get all the content creators to do a video based around getting rid of polymorph. Do polls on all channels to show how much of the player base is done with it. Maybe Plarium would get the hint if we went that far to show them we really hate it.

i played a TON of live arena before but i stopped when armanz got released. im slowly getting back to it now and i just perma ban him but i still just quit early and often because of him. him drawing the ban every time means other OP champs dont get banned too which is very frustrating.

ive veen saying it since his announcement, but his ability needs to be full turn meter aoe and single target stun or full stun single aoe to make it atleast within the ballpark of being balanced

Hate him. So much. Every single arena battle is the same. It's monotonous, tedious, uninteresting! No idea what they were thinking adding this kit to the game.

They need to make resistance viable. Being able to reasonably build champs that resist lockout or debuffs would completely change arena. The game is too weighted toward accuracy atm. Go first is only so important because we know our abilities will work. I do not worry that armanz will be resist or that my lockout will be resist. I only worry about sheep.

they could introduce a more evolved ban system, like ban top 10 champions banned by players from last week for next 2 weeks. worst case you have 2 weeks armanz free, best case meta shifts dynamically (albeit a bit cyclically, but testing is needed to see if it will repeat itself too much). or something in spirit of seasons, where you can only pick from certain subsets of champions. there are many ways to spice up meta but plarium does nothing. all they do is buff/nerf 2-3 legos per year, that's not enough.

I worry about new players to the game, in terms of retention. We already know arena sucks a lot when you start. it would have been bad if you joined after UDK, and everyone but you had him, but imagine joining after Armanz. A game can't last forever without new players.

We worked hard to get this champ to be able to compete. He can be beaten and his sheep does get blocked. Just like we find ways to play, if you didn’t get him now the shoe maybe is on the other foot - maybe you need to adapt! FYI he has helped me go from Gold 4 to Gold 4 but with a higher win rate and close to seeing platinum. Stop whinging -the community vote just built a counter for him anyway if you nerf Armanz you will have a new problem next week!

I just broke into gold 1 and let an armanz go thru, boy. I regretted it. Never got a turn

I may be missing something obvious, but what is the problem if he can just be banned from the fight? I am very low-level live arena and don’t play it that much, so I run across him very infrequently. When I do see the other player pick him, I just ban him, and he’s not an issue. Also, I do not have Armanz.

Deleted the game. Once you clear all other content, live arena is the only fun game mode. Now you’re forced to choose/ban Armanz and it’s just feels like there is almost no strategy in the game anymore. It’s like you said Drock. If you let him through, then you’re just relying on RNG. He is so overwhelming that if he is not nerfed, then they will HAVE to make a champion to counter him. That means I’ll be forced to get that new champion to stay competitive. Champions have always been better than others, but I have never felt FORCED to get specific champions before this. I can’t choose any other viable and reliable strategies, so the game feels brain dead. I’m kind of grateful that they made it an easy decision to move on.

I completely agree. But I actually also think that his A3 is broken as well, even if your champs are all in SK he just cheeps someone and has a chance to remove other SK as well... I am only in Silver 4 in LA but every match is Armanz on both sides getting banned and not being able to counter anything. Basically just an RNG fest of who has better gear to go first or can manage to tank the first hit and get lucky if you ever get a turn.

Im gonna tickle a lot of feathers but this champion has single-handedly inflated 80% of the playerbase. Look at PVE: Hard DT (aside from rotation 3) is a gear check, you can clear it with fully accessible champs (i do it myself) as long as you have the gear. He has made that irrelevant. People that have never cleared Hard DT because they have not farmed gear for long enough are suddenly cruising through DT waves. In arena hes obviously the most toxic champion in the game (no reason for him to have sheep alongside the tm stuff and the cooldown stuff and the buff strip)

Forget about nerffing Armanz, please "NERF" the number of times that the game crashes. Amongst all the games that at least I played, this is the only game that has that issue, and they had it from day one..

No Drok I don't agree.. as f2p we now have a champion that we can choose in live arena that forces people to ban since it is really hard to pull a matta champion.. Been playing the game for 4 yrs but I've yet to pull a Kymar, Yumeko, Warlord, Marshka, Tarras, sh¡t i don't even have a Dachess.. Yeah i think they have done a great job creating this champions to accommodate f2p players in live arena.. Ever since i have got Armanz in my live arena there's been progress.. before i have hit a brick wall in live arena, winning was hard for me, out of 10 matches i could win 3 or 4, it was really bad..

I completely agree with you they need to fix him for area and leave him alone for PvE. also I don't understand why people think speed is not the most important thing in area because every time i go first i win and if i don't I loses and it doesn't matter who pick for the fight.

Honestly, I am so put off at this cycle by content creators - 1)”OMG! This is a MUST get - worth using every resource to get this broken champ!” Then 2) “I am calling everyone to support a petition to NERF this broken champ..” Please stop encouraging us to go ALL IN to grab champs and then getting them nerfed once we follow-through and build our accounts around them… Some of us have limited resources and go all in for “overpowered” champs to even the playing field for us a little.

as an video editor myself, you voice gain is super low comparing to other creators or even other YT vids, you can bump it up a bit so it's not very quite

If they increased the cooldown by 1 turn and put it to deplete turn meter instead of stealing it that would be better. And maybe only depletes 1 targets turn meter than attacks all enemies for the stun. But I generally believe UDK is on the same level of busted broken

Flip side, FTP/Low Spenders are sick of getting spanked in the arena to super fast teams, or powerful teams with max blessings, Armanz has unlocked them teams and is needed. 90% of the Raid Community are sick of arena, and are sick of letting whales and krakens gain further distance from the rest, so Armanz should stay for the better.

he only needs the nerf for PvP, hes the only champ in a long time thats made me play again. hes pushed me passed the barrier i was at.

True story: went up against another high end account in live. They went first, picked Armanz, and they also made the mistake of only drafting one nuker. I make the "mistake" of banning the sole nuker instead of Armanz. 20 minutes later, the match ends in a tie and we both take the loss. Super fun game mode that rewards good strategy for sure! Seriously, the game would be much better if players could choose not to deal with toxic game elements in ways other than just not playing the game. Like in 3v3, where certain times are competitive, but most of the week is for fun/farming. So maybe the first 30 minutes each day, people just don't play these features. Don't want to use Armanz (or poly blessing, or helicath, or whatever)? That's when you play. Unfortunately this would require off line coordination, and it would take a "focal point" to set forth the rules. Some people will abuse the coordination, like when some chucklehead puts in a stoneskin mortu in 3v3 midweek defense, but if we wait for Plarium to deliver the experience we want, we will be waiting a long time.

I see this champion in Gold 1 classic arena... how is that even possible? either the person doesn't bother with classic arena and just lives off of people stupid enough to attack their team or I don't know... because this champion alone should carry you way higher than that.

I agree on the counter for esch champ.. makes the game like a puzzle which would be consistent with the pve etc, proper strategy.

Since his kit was to obviously overpowered, it makes me think is this some kind of lay-up. Create a problem then get people to pay for a solution? Changing the skill to add an extra turn makes sense, or limiting how much turn meter he gets.

My arena teams are lackluster and totally dependent on wukong, I know armanz is busted but unfortunately he is my ticket to get wukong into the battle. Not many options as a ftp and the gear is a few months away from getting any better.

It seems to me that people complaining about Armanz are mostly high end arena players. I'm not sure if this observation is correct, but from that point of view I understand the arguments and think they are valid. However I think there is a different side to the story. Personally, I'm in a different stage of the game, where my rooster isn't as developed, gears aren't at CC level with 3-4 years of gameplay under the belt kind of inventory. There are plenty of fights where my Armanz with 310+ SPD gets outsped, or they resisted his 500 ACC. I could clear DT hard before Armanz, but trust me... having him does not automatically make it a walk in the park. I like Armanz the way he is. Helps lower end players and shake things up a bit among the higher end players.

I have been hoping that they separate PvE and PvP abilities for updates for a really long time and your the first CC I heard bring it up. It would solve all problems immediately, leave peoples dungeons teams, investments, etc alone (or In case of armanaz, let people clear hard doom tower) while being able to nerf and buff champions wishfully every update for PvP to keep the meta fresh. I used to play Dota and most other moba's like league also nerf and buff champs evey update and it kept the meta fresh. I dont know how hard it would be to separate the abilities for PvE and PvP coding wise but it would be absolutely great for arena.

I disagree and think a nerf will be the worst thing plarium could do. They stated that they don't want to nerf legendaries because the community will be in an uproar. Yes, the pvp side of the community will love this nerf. However, armanz isn't a pvp champion only. Players who use him for dungeon, faction war, doom tower, cursed city will feel robbed out of a good champion (myself included). What they need to do is "nerf" him by reducing his usability in pvp. Release a few counters to this champion. For example, a shuzen with an immune to turn meter decreases passive, or a champion that is immune to sheep or gains an insta turn if a sheep happens. There are a lot of ways to add counters. They should never consider nerfing armanz.

A fast Doompriest is my counter to a faster Armanz. The passive is able to remove the stun so that your team can attack.

Plarium no1 economic weapon: get people to buy shards. that end isn't assisted by nerfs. what assists it is introducing op champs like armonz, letting people suffer for awhile. Then introducing a champ, probably void that counters him to generate a big revenue stream. this will probably come around early June so they can cap off a profitable Q2

I love him. I am in lower teirs tho. As long as I am faster than my enemy. He definitely gives free to play a chance against kraken.

With the current meta I’ve made the claim that rotos and siphi should have their nerfs reversed because with the number of OP champions they release their original designs wouldn’t break the game anymore. I also think rotos at least needs some type of indication that he can block revive. I’m always guessing and miss opportunities if it’s a long battle

To many times i almost lost to a solo armanz defense in classic arena because i wasn't looking and he was in stoneskin and got one turn and perma stunned me for minutes until i finaly got a lucky turn.

Raid is no longer a fun game, which is why I've started playing Dragonhier SG. I do CB and farm resources for CVC. Asides that Raid gets no more of my time.

I've had luck beating him using ostriox boneglaive with deflection gear on.

He has not destroyed meta or arena other than gives none spenders can win using him. Im sure u got taras he needs nerfing before anyone

There is no other champion where the match is over as soon as he gets a turn - hence he needs to be nerfed. This whole excuse about 'new players trying to catch up' is ridiculous. The 100% stun and turn meter steal is what is the kicker - basically kills any skill or strategy needed.

How do you think we feel when we go against a Rotos, or Taras. Now the field is a bit more level.

Best way to fix it: Armanz is banned from Arena game modes. They can change his aura to all battles and he stays busted for PvE. I used to play Magic: The Gathering and sanctioned events used to have banlist of the cards that slipped through playtest being too busted. Nobody complained and we all still used them in non-competitive environments.

Totally agree drock. I hate nerfs. But…. When I read his kit originally I knew he was going to be a problem.

Armanz does make UDK way less popular, which is a good thing because that guy has been ruining the pace and fun of pvp for a while. Armanz does need a good counter though, a champ that can punish him when he uses his a2. I do really enjoy the speed-meta being back, it's all thanks to Armanz

A lot of people complain that everyone takes or gives sheep to champions and they don't like it, but at the same time, in almost every match of mine, people pick SUPP characters non-stop, not just 1, but maybe 3! (when I watch videos about the raid, it's there most of the time too.) how are you doing or how do you perceive it?

I was a top 1000 whale since the start of the game. I cut my spending by 50% with "sheep" and another 50" when Armanz was released. Won't spend another dime. You have the right message. Although it must be quite embarrassing to have a +4 Mythical behind your head..... really?

I wasn't able to do the fusion i dont have him its the worst to have to ban him evey time its basically a atuo when for them and was really enjoying live arena finally and that champ is the worst thing ever

They should give a buff till first turn for live arena for both the players from a choice pool (like block debuffs, inc acc, inc res) like in combat games. This would help to counter champs like armanz.

I like him for Doom Tower hard. I call him Armanz, the Wave Abuser

armanz broken for sure needs some adjustments.. the only thing missing is how should they look like? only 50% turnmeter steal with sleep instead? and his passiv skill reduction effect after sheep also could have a cooldown ...

Watching this I agree fully but I can’t help but to think why do none of the other creators make videos like this they should all be screaming about this and sheep etc until real change comes
