In a recent incident in Manhattan Beach, California, a group of armed brazen smash and grab thieves attempted to raid a local jewelry store around lunchtime.
However, their criminal escapade was short-lived as a courageous store employee exercised their Second Amendment rights and, in self-defense, opened fire to protect the premises.
This was not the first time the jewelry store had fallen victim to such criminals. In August 2014, the same store was targeted by smash and grab robbers who managed to get away with an impressive haul of approximately $250,000 worth of Rolex watches and precious diamonds.

He's ( store owner/employee) is being charged with at least 3 felonies. 1) gun wasn't registered. 2) gun wasn't on California 's approved list. 3) he was in a specified "safe" area when he used the gun 4) assault with intent to do great bodily harm 5) no license to carry a weapon. Yes 5 felonies.

The majority of responses were "Armed citizens". They didn't say they feared laws, they didn't say they feared the police or going to prison, they feared armed citizens the most. And just because California has "outlawed" law abiding citizens from protecting property doesn't mean that it is just or right. I live in what was once a beautiful county here in Northern California. Last month 2 women went into the local Glass Hut (during the day and in front of employees and customers) and stole over $20,000.00 worth of eye glasses. Under the new "lawless law" the employees were expected to do nothing but watch. This week at 4:00 a.m., some people to target another Glass Hut (in another town in our county) and drive through the window of another Glass Hut. This time they got $100,000.00 worth of glasses. Do you think the 2 are linked? Is there any possibility that, having committed a crime in broad daylight with many witnesses and NO opposition, they became emboldened?? What say all of you?? 🤨 Having lived in a couple of third world countries where citizens are taught to not defend themselves or take a stand, how do you think it looks to thinking individuals when one is commanded to stand down or lose your job? How is this ANY different than the bullying done during Covid?? In both cases, your decision to take action in your best interest is threatened by a government that seeks to strip away your right to think, ponder and conclude (for yourself) and that of self preservation (in the protection of yourself and those around you). California has started with physical business property but it really started world wide in March of 2020. Their goal (in California) now is to legislate the will of lawful citizens to become complicit in the crimes of criminals so as to bring about fear and apathy. (Fear and apathy. THAT is what we all viewed as a bunch of criminals stormed a store with hammers and the innocent backed off and trembled.) If they can get the entire nation to comply (the administrations aim) then when Gavin Newson visits China (as appeared on the front page of The Marin Journal today) then he can inform the president of China that when he "is the next president of the United States, China need have no fear of the American people." Truly! With all of the able bodied terrorists who have now spread themselves throughput this nation and the legislated apathy under which this current government desires to crush us? We will soon be ripe for the taking. Time will once again prove another "conspiracy theory" as the truth. Just wait and see...

I'm stuck in Michigan, had to buy land here 10 years ago because I couldn't find any in my budget in states I wanted to move to, like Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri. I am a reformed criminal. I was a bad heroin addict. I've been clean since i was 23, i'm 31 now. The threat of getting shot in the face kept me from comiting crimes that would of enabled me to continue to support my addiction and kept me in my misery. If we truly could understand the mind of a criminal, and the desperation of drug withdraw, I honestly believe we would arm every woman in our society. A lot of "them" have moved to Oregon, my home state. We have the same shit going on here, such as measure #110, which decriminalizes user-friendly amounts of illegal drugs. We also have measure #114, which is a very poorly written measure all about gun control,,,"large capacity" magazines, and requiring the purchase of a license and safety courses every time you want to buy a gun even if you already have a concealment license, and there's more to it than what I have just mentioned. We no longer have a justice system here in Oregon, we have a legal system which plays catch and release with the same criminals day after day after day after day. If that legal system insists on playing catch and release with these criminals then the least they can do is allow us to defend ourselves against the criminals that they keep releasing from jail.

Stress, adrenaline, possibly lack of training or familiarity with the firearm. Despite all of that, they stepped up and defended themselves, their employees, and their customers. They should still be commended for taking action.

@@ghostwolf4354definitely lack of training. Muscle memory kicks in if you spent enough time putting lead down range. Probably 60%+ of gun owners have maybe put a box of shells through any given firearm they own. Heck 90% of gun owners I personally know are like that. 😢
