I hope South Africa avoids any conflict with other nations. After seeing the state of our military, I fear we wouldn't last a day. I bet 90% of them aren't even in proper working conditions, and our foot soldiers might not be fit enough to handle any challenges.

Unfortunately in the cold realistic analysis, South africa currently does not have a professional trained capable armed forces,it once had, in its formal years, its run by amateurs who quite frankly haven't got a clue, what they are doing,when they ANC took over they kicked out and got rid of the most capable officers, when the New government took over gave all the new positions to clowns zero skill sets in combat infantry tactics tactical deployment of ground troops in military war games and field exercises with all arms combined training programs, they do not pose the expertise in war fighting infantry skills generalship command and control infrastructure, sorry to say but no other african country has either all, they do is march up and down pretending to be soldiers, where is south africa procurement money for defense spending?? new equipment like modern tanks anti tank missiles, defenses military upgrades on all there vehicles, they don't have the money, nor the training required to operate modern main battle tanks like a german leopard 2 or even a american abrams tank to technical and complex tanks it require intense training to operate theses western tanks and maintain in the field its a joke stick to marching south africa you couldn't kick your way out of a wet paper bag and they can't even manage to video this show in a moderate level of competency lol

Very good indeed but you must train your soldiers to do away with DRUM MAJORETTES kind of thing please, this is the army. If you're not too sure about how is the parade/march is done just go to NORTH KOREA, CHINA or RUSSIA where you will be schooled on how to do all those things including doing "salutes". You will come back and thank me 🤞🤞
Parades serve as a way to demonstrate your readyness. I see no readyness based upon the lack lusture of the soldiers. They look overweight which means they are inactive which means they cannot look after themselves in the field. This is an operational liability. They also do not train enough that is why they cannot perform simple tasks under command. This whole spectacle serves only 1 purpose. To show a potential enemy how this army is NOT ready for anything.
All modern armies equip their soldiers with balistic sunglasses. It is the least they can do with this lot. No shame in protecting your soldiers' eyes from the sun and wind. It retails for R500 but you can get it for cheaper. Call me..... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Honestly the state of our defense equipment is terrible, you can see these guys roped in all their assets for this but all I can see are antiques...I really do hope our government could find a way to fund our defense force cause those guys give it their all but are ill equipped
