The event was held on 30 June 2024 and organised by the Folkestone Town Council. There were stands, displays and performances on the lawns over Leas. The Battle of Britain memorial flight was cancelled due to an accident involving a spitfire some months earlier, but the displays by Jubilee Pitts (one of my subscribers told me that it was in fact the Starlings not Jubilee Pitts, and thanks to him/her) and Red Arrows did go ahead. The former did complete the show without interruption. However, six minutes after the Red Arrows started their performance, the weather became so poor that it had to be curtailed earlier than scheduled. The quality of the air display in this video was not that good, but I hope those not able to attend the event in person may get a glimpse of the event, in particular the air displays in rain, through this video.
