to the last comment, we were soldiers once, and by the grace of god we survived, what governments had no conclusion to, what you see in this video is former soldiers that gave what they had to give in that time, so for you to write that is disrespectable to the soldiers that proudly marched in front of their peers and gave their all, where the pay then was less than the dole but we still did it

I really do have to wonder why the world wars were fought in this era of the bedroom tax, foodbanks, starvation, no legal aid for the poor, no more real social housing, no more independent living fund etc the scapegoating of the poor and unemployed and of immigrants and asylum seekers. The wars had nothing to with freedom or democracy, only short term gains were given to the working class, they are all now gone. The wars were about global markets for the empire and the ruling class. The dominant ideology is 'social darwinism' and is conservative, when infact Darwin hated the tories and what they did to the poor and most vulnerable. In a country where if you can't find work, you are forced to work for no pay- it may aswell be fascism.
