That is not correct- police can be prosecuted if a criminal is not an immediate threat, as it should be. I've seen many instances where police give 10-15 commands to a suspect to drop the gun, and commend them for saving many lives.

If you give a criminal a choice between a store guarded by armed security and one unguarded, they will choose the latter. There were moments during this robbery where it was indeed self defence, but when the robber is walking out the door is no longer self defence. Yeah instead of imprisoning the criminals they lick their lips trying to go after innocent people. If we focused more on suffocating criminals by helping victims we'd live in a cleaner, better society.

The justice system hasn't even gotten a chance to work because the man who killed someone in self defense also fled the scene. This is still under investigation as far as i know. For the justice system to work you have to use the system the way its designed.
