Love this one, it's one of my favorites. She has a charisma and a star quality that I don't see in very many of the other entries.

The car which appears in the video is Lada Niva, the most popular “crossover” in USSR. The band was named after this car :)

Armenia are one of my favorite countries in the competition so I always look forward to hearing their entry. This year......did not disappoint one bit. Agree with the Jan Jan comparison but I also get some Hora Din Moldova vibes from this, both from the same year as well lol. Love how fun this song is, the instrumental of it, the energy, the attitude, everything about it is just so good in my eyes. Hope it can get a somewhat decent result when may comes around.

This song is an utter delight...Ladaniva is just such a fun, talented duo with AMAZING energy. I do wish it was a bit more of a complex song , but still enjoy it very much. Easily top 10. I have absolutely ADORED them so far in the preparties, doing impromptu jam sessions with the other artists (you know Louis always has an instrument in hand...and Jaklin IS her instrument). I am looking forward to seeing more of them - they're fantastic.

This song surprised me so much when I first heard it. I didn't expect it to be all in Armenian, or to be so fun and upbeat and shamelessly ethnic! This is what I love about internally selected entries: you're totally caught by surprise and there's never the disappointment of your favorite from a national final not getting through. I think on average, I like the internally selected entries this year more than the national final ones. Others great internally selected entries include Switzerland, Austria, Greece, and most of all the Netherlands which is my favorite this year.

Now, I probably won’t be listening to this myself - but surely the sheer positivity and joy of this will guarantee a qualification and a decent placement in the final. They a going full folk/ethno and do it in such an uplifting way. I think people will respond well to this on the night.

I would add that the voice is used in an instrumental way. It sounds a bit like the trumpet does. That said, I find Armenia's entry very impactful and I hope it will do well.

Armenians have quite a lot of talented Jazz instrumentalists & singers in Yerevan.This genre is very popular, with a lot of older & new bands forming, which also compose their own original music & songs. There is a very vibrant scene of Jazz esblishments, which have popped up in the last 2 decades.. There can be expensive, classy cabaret, restaurant & bar venues to the polar opposite of undergrouund, cellar like venues. The Jazz scenes are very vibrant & buzzing in Yerevan city! They're usually packed out & real crowd pleasers. There's not much of a chance not to hear at least jazz piano playing music, drifting outside of venues, while just walking round, ouside at night. :)

Dear Rachel, I have been following your channel for several years, and I even created a YT account last year because I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy listening to your musical analysis. That being said in advance, I hope that you don't mind me saying that I am very disappointed that you decided to ignore Israel's entry this year. I do not understand why anyone would feel the urge to punish a young singer because of what happens to be her home country. And after all, we all do not know what Eden thinks of Mr. N. and his disgraceful and inhumane approach to Gaza. And finally, we Europeans should always be very cautious to point fingers imo, because all our affluence has been built on exploitation, violence and extreme poverty elsewhere in the world; and we still refuse to compensate or pay reparation for all the poverty and suffering we have caused. And nowadays, most Europeans apparently don't have much of a problem with innocent people drowing in the Med and the English Channel. And btw, what I have written applies to your limited coverage of the Azerbaijani entry as well. I hope that you don't mind me writing these lines, and I have only done so because I have respected you a lot for several year. If you were just another one reacting to ESC on YT, I wouldn't have taken the time to put my thoughts down in writing. Cheers, Togs.

Armenia literally invaded another country and committed genocide and drives away its non-Armenian population but OK about the song The song would have much better with less Lalalalalaleylalalala. Like 70% of the song. It had potential but got ruined by those repetitive words. Such a pity because Ladaniva's other songs sounds very decent. I mean, the shouting in Ulveham and Lila Ramonda in Serbia was also annoyingly repetitive but those actually make sense in the song's context. Unlike in Jako. They're actually fun performers though and you can imagine the audience singing along and clapping to them in the live shows. The lyrics are the only turn off to me. I need more Armenian!
