Rare footage of Armenians escaping Turkey soon after the end of the Armenian Genocide. The original film is held by the Library of Congress in Washington D.C., but a laboratory in Bologna digitally restored it in 2015 from a nitrate-positive print. Due to the production date, this footage is in the public domain and uploaded here to increase accessibility.
Original Title: Armenia The Cradle of Humanity, Under the Shadow of Mount Ararat
Year: 1919-1923
Fondazione Cineteca di Bologna at the L'Immagine Ritrovata

Of course!! I came across it while looking for historical footage for my documentary, and I couldn’t believe it wasn’t more widely shared. The full high quality version is still stuck behind a pay wall unfortunately, even though it’s legally public domain. Here’s a link if you’re interested in learning more about my documentary: www.peaceforarmeniafilm.com/

Unfortunately no - all the information I have available is in the text description of the video.

Just asking but didn't the armenians kill 5.5 muslims before that?

A historical event like that would probably be more widely known…can you please provide a source?

@@dougkalagian my source is a bunch of salty armenian kids on tiktok saying 5.5 million. So i wanted to know if its true or not.

@@pogto as far as I'm aware, its not true. I've researched the issue for years and haven't come across an event like that around the time of the Armenian Genocide. 🤷‍♂

My favorite part is thinking about how much worse Turkey is without us.
