Dear people of Armenia In the next 4 years the people of Scotland will vote in a referendum to decide if they want to be an independent country, free from the United Kingdom. Please show your support for my countries INDEPENDENCE by giving this comment a thumbs up. Thank You From SCOTLAND. Long May Scotland & Armenia Prosper !
Armenians are strong people. Armenians are good soldiers too. There should be more immigrants in Germany like the Aremenians, they are peaceful, hard workers, and tolerant. Greetings from Düsseldorf! :D
Very nice anthem! I'm half armenian and very proud of my armenian side and if somebody asks me of my origin i always say the armenian side first! love you so much armenia and armenians. I hope to visit this beautiful country soon! greetings from sweden
Congratulations to the armenian nation. I'm bulgarian and I highly respect your country. I bow before your suffering and heroism during the ottoman and soviet slavery. We bulgarians love you : )
In 1978 the Armenian Nagorno Karabakh Oblast erected a memorial dedicated to the 150 years of Armenian settlement in Karabagh. However the memorial only remained in this shape for only 10 years. By 1988 the inscription of the memorial was removed, this was done to manufacture a new history. Seach for "History of Karabakh"
What a beautiful anthem!) My hometown is Pyatigorsk, the south part of Russia, and there are many Armenians who live there. I'm so proud that I grew up near Armenian people and learned about Armenian culture.
Greetings to the first Christian country from Serbia!! Your self-respect and recent history including ww1 made me have sympathies towards Armenia and its people as my country have undergone the same. We have lost over a million people-a quarter of our population and only Armenians had it worse. Why? To let Germany and Turkey take our Kosovo again?? Self-respect, self-esteem always! Always think your own head! See you on commemoration of ww1! Long live Gavrilo Princip, freedom and truth!
urcite je u vas velmi pekne. mam rad hory. stale rozmyslam, ako ste nam mohli dat 7 golov v dvoch zapasoch :) fakt ste hrali velmi dobre a zasluzili ste si postupit na euro.
Why all the dislikes? I'm a mixture of Lebanese, Egyptian and Syrian and even after 500 years of occupation and oppression the Arabs had to face from the Ottomans we forgave them, the Syrians and Lebanese have also forgiven the French, the Egyptians have forgiven the Italians, the Germans and are even great friends with the British now. Yet here we have the Turkish not "forgiving" the Armenians for oppression and a genocide the Turkish have done themselves to the Armenians. Someone explain this shit.

Oh dear... Now everyone can understand, why Turks are being hated everywhere in this world... They are always so aggressive and offensive without any reason!
I think much of the hatred towards Turks is mainly towards the Turkish government, otherwise, it is just blind hatred. I really appreciate the kind words mate. I really hope that we can have a future of working together and that the Turkish government recognizes those acts as genocide which is the biggest step towards not repeating history.
Iran, Nato, Russia all support Armenia, i dont care what relations they have to eachother. Kurdistan does not exist, and my kurdish friend i am sorry ,but it never will. Even tough it would be the right thing to do. It will take a miracle for a " Kurdistan " to emerge - Long live Armenia
@adamcel6 I'm part Armenian and I don't understand why Azerbaijani and Armenians can't live peacefully together. Why even write hate on an Armenian video? We're condemned to live as neighbours so we'll have to get along somehow.
Very nice anthem. I don't know much about your situation with your neighbors, but I hope one day you all stop fighting and start helping each other. Also, I hope most of the azeris and turks are not like these childlish fools that are just saying senseless insults. Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey are beatiful countries. Sorry if I made a mistake, english is not my native language. Greetings from Costa Rica... =)
It's a mix. While the "Mer Hayrenik, azat, ankahk" variation was known and sometimes sung in the First Republic, "Mer Hayrenik, tshvar, anter" was the official. The second verse is entirely from the First Republic time period and was taken out of the modern anthem. The "Aha eghpayr" verse has stayed the same. In the verse after that, Nersik sings "togh kortsanvi Tachkastan" - this is more similar to Nalbandian's original poem, but I do not know if those were the words for the end of the verse used in the First Republic. The last verse has also stayed the same from the First Republic.
