The "Call Me by Your Name" actor said his dad switched seats with another passenger and "ended up spending the entire flight talking" to his mom. They were engaged 11 days later.
That story of how his parents met. My god, talk about luck and fate. To think that Armie wouldn't exist if his dad didn't miss that flight or switch seats.
I can listen to Armie talk all day...Handsome, yes..but beyond that he is charming, funny, eloquent, great husband and father..i could go on and on..fact is he's an amazing person.
He has those contradictions I think makes him even more beautiful as a person.. So good looking yet so down to earth and kind..So adorably goofy but also very mature and grounded and really sensible..Sometimes he gets (especially when he is with Timmy) even naughty but actually a great father and husband..And the one which haunts me the most, he generally looks so cheerful and careless but as Luca said once, it feels like he hides a big turmoil inside..(some of it maybe his heartbreaks and disappointments due to his own family) Well, he is so Oliver..
A lot of well-deserved attention is going to Thimothee Chalamet for his brilliant, Oscar-worthy performance, but, Armie Hammer gives the performance of a lifetime! it is a risk-taking performance that is second to none! This is his moment! "Oscar, Oscar!" #CallMeByYourName
Armie seems like one of those genuine, down-to-earth guys you could grab a beer with and just talk. He’d listen if you want to vent, but he’d also entertain if you don’t feel like talking. I wish him all the most success!
I call BS on this interview. Obviously avoided discussing this beautiful movie in too much detail for fear of scaring their precious middle America morning audience. This is a film about a love affair between two young men. In 2017, it's frustrating and sad to still see this nervousness and trepidation acknowledging homosexuality and same-sex romantic love. Ms Roberts should be ashamed. They all should be ashamed.
+Jeff Miller I agree: the pains with which they establish Armie is married and has children and is a loving father - it feels like an organised campaign to save his macho reputation from when viewers actually see the film and react to seeing him kissing a guy. Are American audiences still so fragile about gay love stories?
it's only a small little festival film there's only so much he can say, i'm suprised it's even getting such a big press tour, but fair enough there's alot of award buzz around it
Yes, I noticed that...was a bit surprised, but I don't know this show very well so maybe it's normal. Didn't seem to be very useful in terms of press though...
seems almost like theyre shying away from it on purpose. Im gonna take a wild guess and say its bcuz its a gay film and they dont wanna nauseate the fans of good morning America
Calling the film a "little festival film" when it's one of the most widely acclaimed films of the year by critics and audiences alike is pretty reductive.
I tuned in to GMA at the very tail end of the segment and everyone was laughing at the story Armie told. I missed the whole thing but made a note to come back and find it on-line. This is the beauty of RU-vid. What a wild story about how his parents met. So basically the only reason Armie Hammer exists is because his dad went on a drinking binge, passed out and missed his flight. Haha, you just can't make it up. It was fate. Life sure is crazy.
Have you ever noticed that Armie’s parents’ story is exactly like Elio’s father’s story in Find Me (the book after CMBYN)? Coincidence? Don’t think so🤷🏻♀️
Wow. Let's spend the first 1/2 of the interview ostensibly about the movie doing an over-the-top nail down of Arnie's hetero credentials (babies! pics of wife! morning routine with wife and kids! Christmas rituals with wife and kids!) and then let's completely ignore the core plot idea - that this is a movie about a love affair between two men. Holy shit...and shameful. Americans, you are so damn weird.
Jocelyn Defex aaaaghhhh why did he even put it in private? Is there like an unwritten rule for moviestars to have a public account (i know Im petty 😂) and it can only do their publicity good!!!
He told that he was so scared of plenty of his dancing clips that fans posted and tagged him everyday. That's why he has to be away of twitter and insta. :)))
