Interview (Dutch / English Subtitles) with Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn & Afrojack. Tiësto was out of the country, couldn't be there. Armin, Ferry and Sander made a short remix of the tune/leader of the show. This interview was on the day of the DJ Mag Poll (Aired on Dutch TV on 20 October 2011), they predict that David Guetta will win that poll this time (because he has a number 1 hit in more than 40 countries), and the were right, he won later that day. This was the first time the DJ Mag Poll event was in the Netherlands, so it was a bit lame for the dutch audience that no Dutch DJ won this time ;)

Armin in 2011: I don't like the music from David Guetta. Armin in 2019: I play much more pop/edm/018 nonsense than David Guetta now. Plus: Of course I would make a track together with David Guetta --> His old school Trance fans: Shitty music (and they are right!)

Tienes toda la razón No sé por qué se han olvidado de Ferry Corsten si es uno de los grandes pioneros con más de 20 años de carrera musical. Grandes producciones lo respaldan Yo creo que debería estar entre los 10 primeros de la DJ MAG, pero como todos sabemos, esa revista solo es una referencia de los gustos populares.

I loved the energy on the show. Afrojack is very humble. He goes "I understand I am under triple attack of my genre here.... so I'd better just enjoy the chatting...". I loved loved the remix of Ferry and Armin for the show intro jingle ;)))) awesome, especially Armin - the end is epic ;) Such a great sweet energy. Oh guys... can u please invade USA with trance ;)

you're an ignorant... mis djs favoritos y productores son armin van buuren y sander van doorn, pero no por eso discrimino a david guetta y a afrojack,ya que no tienen porque ser iguales a sander y a armin..david guetta y afrojack son de generos muy distintos y no se enfrascaron en solo musica house.. sino que tambien innovaron y ampliaron su musica para no encerrarse en su genero.. you should post if you know really about music fool!!

@peligro2119 Not really, Armin says it's difficult to compare dj's with different styles and they all predict David Guetta will win (the tv show was a couple of hours before the dj mag poll event) because he has a number 1 hit in 46 countries.

hmm guetta music has just no soul also the stuff from afrojack - they produce just tracks nobody will remember cos they sound like everybody else in the pop bizz. i still remember my first armin/ ferry and SVD track - thats what those guys seperate from each other ... just my opinion ...

Assuming that people think afrojack is jealous, no he's not!. He just goes his own way, the lonewolf in the dance scene by combining music genre's. People should learn how to respect artists with different music articulation.

This is 1st time I've seen armin not totally smiling he looks kinda pissed n disgusted when they talk about guetta. See they knew the results were bullshit cuz they didn't ask dance music fans who listen 2edm they ask kids who like pop radio spam&now American kids don't hear trance only guetta they never heard of any1 else but 1of99 so Facebook app failed 2never counted my vote fixed both ways

They are speaking about the top 100 DJ Results and Afrojack is also saying that normally in the top are usually trance DJs, however because David Guetta was voted number 1 this year, its shows how there is a change in the genre. They also talk about how David Guetta is more Pop now as well. Dutch people am I somewhat right about this?

Why do people forget Ferry Corsten? haha He is amazing and in my opinion after Armin and Above and Beyond the third best trance DJ :) and I love Sander van Doorn but not as amazing as Armin and Ferry... P.S. Afrojack is a sell out -_- I'm American and I can't stand his music or Ghetto (Guetta's) music. IN TRANCE WE TRUST! ;)

A DJ is a dj, not a producer.... Nowadays the 'stars' do both, but a dj like me mixes tracks, but I don't produce. They give an award for dj's, not for pruducers... Afrojack mixes as a pro, so he's a very good dj. Doesn't matter if he produces or not. nuf said.

This Tv show is not shit... It's meant to be a bit funny. And of course the unprofessional questions.. How old do you think most of the audience of this show is? some don't even know who they are. Because a lot of people that are like 60 years old watch this show to because it can be very serious to.

I was there at 1:56! That was his FREE event at governor's island in NYC!!! this is so crazy i see myself haha. My channel has a lot of vids from that event also (way at the bottom). Also, thats the PRINCE and PRINCESS of the netherlands with him on stage there!

They sound like businessmen, not artists, talking about products and popularity... Only Ferry is still a bit of an artist, he's also the one that's been doing this the longest, which means he was in it when it wasn't a popularity contest.

@peligro2119 They said that it is very hard to compare dj's since the genres are so different. Like taking a winner between a cartoon movie with a war movie. Thats why they thought guetta would win becouse his genre is the most popular one atm.

This table is by far not complete, if Tiësto, Hardwell, Dash berlin, Above and Beyond, Nicky Romero, Bingo players, Chuckie, Laidback luke and Headhunterz would be there, than that would cover about the best Dutch dj's.

david guetta is not a dj, neither afrojack. they have not idea to produce, djing or make a remix, his appeal is the pop stars voice (usher, will i am, etc) but his sound is really shit...

@TMVvision Zoals jij al zegt. Deze prijs gaat naar de meest commerciele DJ. En raad nou eens wie de meeste top 40 house van de hele wereld maakt. David Guetta dus. Die man mag van mij bij het pop-genre gerekend worden. Z'n nieuwe album bestaat uit alleen maar top 40 tracks. En tracks met afrojack, die afrojack nota bene allemaal heeft geproduceerd. hij is niet echt een DJ, meer een producer. dat zegt Giel ook eerder in de interview. hij kan alleen DJ'en met zn eigen software en met de juiste voorbereiding, die andere DJs draaien alles wat ze voor hun neus krijgen geschoteld
