Armitage & Pulaski 1986 home video featuring John Moore, President of the White Monks in the North & Pulaski area during the 1970’s, (wearing the 5 point star necklace). By the mid 1980’s he was running with the Gaylords and was homeless. His usual place to rest for the night was at 2015 N. Karlov. One night in 1992 a fellow homeless man by the name of Rodger Birdsong set John and the house on fire. Roger was sadly killed at the age of 29. He can be seen chatting with the hot dog vendor for the first minute, the rest of the footage is a nice taste of nostalgia of the Hermosa area and that specific corner, which is only 2 blocks west of Mozart Park. At the 0:45 minute mark, you will notice Latin Disciples tags on the wall to the left of the CPD squad vehicle. The first few minutes of the video were filmed from the northeast corner where the Shell Gas Station is located and still remains there til this day.
