This song resonates with me. Depicts a type of nostalgia after a failed relationship. The thought of someone you once loved gives you comfort, an omnipresent comfort anywhere you go, a kind of perfect comfort. Depicts that you may still have feelings for this person but she's not reciprocating those feelings back. This type of nostalgic feeling is unhealthy for us and holds us back. Nothing lasts forever, nor is perfect. Letting go is a part of life.

I wish I could go back in time and tell younger me you truly can let things go. You’re the only one hanging on anyway. If I could tell him 20 yrs later I’ll still be listening to this song but happily married with a family he probably wouldn’t believe me anyway. I guess that’s a little emo of both of us?
