The upgrade to the type Hogire and the the next presented to any new collard lynx who wish to have Omer Science as their main client. This is the history of the Type Lancel from Rosenthal. Found in Armored Core for Answer
Rosenthal’s Lancel and Omer’s Lahire seems to take a lot of inspirations from Rayleonard’s Aaliyah. The sharp edges on the limbs and the pointy design of the core is a dead giveaway, seems they learn to improve their aerodynamic design since the last war
While the Lahire was clearly inspired by the Aaliyah, I think Rosenthal made the Lancel a lighter Next design because they saw that the Hogire's bulk didn't really help. Next combat doctrine and technology also evolved to the point where high speed and perma flight became commonplace by the time of the Economic War. The Lancel had to be able to keep up with the lighter, airborne capable Nexts such as Lahire, Latona, Ekhazar, etc.
I thoroughly enjoyed using the lancel, even used its base frame throughout the whole game once cause I felt it was fitting for the story for the MC if they chose Omer, and it felt like a worthy successor to the hogire frame (my fave frame from AC4), you can see the natural evolution in the design and the feel of the craft
I am glad to read you enjoyed using the lancel. To me as i said it just felt too much like the type Hogire seeing as the insides are just hogire parts.
@@armoredcorelore yeah I can understand that, that's probably why I liked it, since I enjoyed the hogire frame it just felt very natural to use the Lancel (though I tended to swap out the assault armour for a standard overboost as assault armour never fit well with my playstyle). Though with some gen, booster swapouts, this frame becomes a very nice aerial unit
My first playthrough of ACfA is using LANCEL, and it served me well enough up to the end-game with MOTORCOBRA and Grenade Launcher carrying it most of the time (this is before my famous MOTOR-SALINE 1.0 Build). But the closer toward the end-game, the more I use Bernard & Felix Foundation frame (mainly Head part that increase sight, and Arms with the best precision which I forgot the name because BFF has that legacy AC naming theme). Replay after replay the game, I find LANCEL become "less good" because I'm used to LATONA/AN Hybrid frame. Still, a good choice for newcomer, but doesn't do much for player with more focused build. As long your build doesn't necessarily need specific strategy, LANCEL is always good, albeit not in pure form.
I really wish that your starting NEXTS affected your story. The endings are fine. But it would of been an interesting twists of a dialogs if the company's you picked (from your starting choice) revealed more lore and more outcomes of the missions you choose and what action you took in them.
@@andrewrogers3067 Independant i would say. but really up for debate, since some Acs can determine the endings or connections. like being Independent given that its from rayleonard would lead you to the ORCA path. Interior union given that Kasumi had ties with them in her previous years. and could potentially lead you to the League path Lancel, given that its from OMER science technology could potentially lead you to the destruction path. and GA america would probably be your most notable client. (as they seem to have the highest count of missions for strayed by 8. second to that are the league by 7.)
@@HeyPachuco I don’t believe Interiors connection with Kasumi matters because it’s clear throughout the missions that Kasumi hates them, especially the VOB breakdown. Omer actually explains why the League hires Strayed to fight White Glint halfway through. I lean towards either independent or Omer.
@@andrewrogers3067 Her remark on that mission was mostly out of frustration rather than pure resentment, as her standing with Interior union has been notably neutral at best, likely because its not so so much shes on good terms with Interior union, but with its old pre-merged predecessor Leonemeccanica. Thus she believes that the company like most others don't nessasarly prioritize on keeping their independant mercenaries alive, given that strayed isn't affiliated with any company. so she has a few expectations that Strayed will be experiencing alot of shady activity from his clients, or try to get him killed as a way to avoid paying somone who doesn't represent their company, if otherwise, wipe out a potential threat. Like i said this can always be under debate, but Fromsoft has always been either vague, or at least able to tell their consumers, that Armored core endings, or even any endings in general try not pass over a next generation. even in the Q&A after the final DLC releases of Verdict day they said that Armored core for answer endings, don't impact the sequels of Armored core. Quote: "Armored Core V is not a sequel to previous Armored Core series games, but the game features a linear storyline, similar to the earlier games in the series. Players are free to play the missions in any order they like, although this will not change the story’s ending." but as a regular player, its still immersive to at least beileve for one second that perhaps in your own perspective, the for answer endings could either result how 5 Happened. since we see white glints reincarnation, motherwills resurrection, and the "towers" that look an awful lot like the cradles. probably as an act of a placeholder.
May Greenfield is next!!!! Yes!!!! I really liked the in depth analysis on the Lancel, and Jack of all trades machines can be very useful at times. All in all, great vid! I'm extremely excited for my favorite Ally though!!!
In my opinion no. I believe they all have thier own timeline. However i have been asked to think about a theory video about how they would all link so i will have think about it.
I'll be honest no. As i think the problem with jumping on something brand new is there is a large gap for errors and mistakes. Yes it would be great for the view count, but I'd like time to enjoy the game and really dive into it to make sure I've got the facts.
@@MasterSwo Again sadly no, Rosenthal made only these two next models in thier time line with the Hogire being thier first next model after kojima particles could be used. At a stretch and this is a stretch, there is a page in the armored core 4 designs for answer 156 on Rosenthal building a normal who you could suggest is the predecessor to the Hogire. I will leave the all the pages on Rosenthal on my reddit page if you want to take a look. www.reddit.com/user/Nicksgamebox18/comments/10il5el/rosenthal_pages/
Ahh Type Lancel. idk why but when i first play ACFA, i just doesn't want to choose this Next as my starting Next for some reason, maybe it's just too basic or something idk.
@@TerkoizRHG Ha ha. Well you know i think I'd have to say i think that is what makes AC interesting to me. The love and personal connections lynx have with a next frame.
I do really hope that in Warhammer 40k that in the time before the age of the emperium of man , the dark age of technology ..... Humanity at that time can create some mech similar to the armoured core 😆😆😝😝
