Called it The moment he said "buddy", I could remember nothing but Avalon and the rest of that 1v1 duel in the sky They pulled a sneaki on me and I ain't even mad
That "remember him" line reminds me of when you beat the final boss of Project Wingman, Crimson 1. "When the storms comes to you... remember me" Just another game inspired by AC Zero.
You've seen a country nuke itself and tries it again to eliminate borders, but you aren't ready for Man nukes his own country twice, the first time causing a calamity because he didn't like he lost to some merc
Why yes, it does. Rusty, like Pixy, is meant to be a sympathetic deuteragonist trying to defeat the main character due to clashing ideals (that is, similar goals to the main character, but execution drives a rift between them). Whilst Iguazu is repeatedly portrayed as a brash, petty rival willing to do anything to get one over the main character, just like Crimson 1. Hell, when you think about it, The Die is Cast and Kings are thematically resonant (brutal fight between the last two powers standing over who can claim victory in the ashes of defeat).
@@nialltealeaf275 i just love tragic endings for characters, iguazu's bad luck, rusty fighting for the rubiconians from the inside of the corporations, i love them both and both of their final fights made me feel way worse for them then ayre as the final boss especially when by the end she says she still believes in us
@@sdbzfan1 Fires of Raven is meaningless because there's no actual, real dynamic being placed at hazard. The Ayre fight would only have worked if G1 Michigan and the Vesper's leader both decided "I wanted to harvest the coral, not detonate it. Resonance is the closest we'll get to properly functioning Coral wtf are you doing G13 Raven?!?!" And turned the fight into a tribute to the Nine-ball fight (Ayre to fake out the player, G1 and V.I as the actual final bosses bc they'll be losing out on coral if another Fires of Ibis incident gets rid of what remains).
@@nialltealeaf275yeah killing Michigan so early really left only the good ending with a proper final battle in terms of emotional stakes i know people simp for women but Ayre unlike Carla really can't do much other than tell us what to do, Walter as the final boss hits harder than Ayre because for us we're fighting the guy that gave us a second chance at life and for him he's constantly holding himself back with what little sanity he has after being captured by Arquebus and sent for "education" really the fires of raven ending if you do it first only hits hard for fighting Rusty not Ayre even if Carla remarks we look like we just lost someone dear to us when Ayre leaves, the dude that's been a double agent for the RLF and the only person outside of our Handler that respected us from day one even enough to tell us the Vespers were planning on using him as a sacrifice to get over the wall and Rusty leaving might have just been a way to leave us to die
i love this video so much i dunno if this is just coincidence or fromsoft actually know what they're doing. all that's left is if they voiced rusty with the same va as larry.
Hi, My recording settings are as follows: Video Encoder: NVENC H.264 Audio Encoder: FFmpeg AAC CBR 15500 Kbps (Probably overkill but I wanted this video to look crisp.) Preset: P7: Slowest Tuning: High Quality Multipass Mode (Two Passes - Full Resolution) Profile: High Psycho Visual Tuning checked on. Max B-frames 2 Hope this helps you make the greatest Armored Core videos (or any type of videos) you can!
WAIT AC, ACE COMBAT, AC ARMORED CORE... ACE COMBAT 6 FIRES OF LIBERATION, ARMORED CORE 6 FIRES OF RUBICON, BOTH ARE BY BANDAI NAMCO, WAIT NAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
What I find interesting about this fight, is that while pixy and rusty have a similar personality and demeanor, their actually is a role reversal here in comparison to ace combat zero. Pixy wants to nuke the world to reset it, hoping that the humanity that rises out of the ashes is a better one than before. Entrust the future to the next generation. I feel as though this route in armoured core has a somewhat similar logic. Coral is going to spread from Rubicon and out into the galaxy. With how volatile the substance is this could result in a fires of ibis type catostrophy on a galactic scale. But burn the coral now, burn rubicon, reset it to zero would prevent the possibility of that ever happening. And whoever would come to to inhabit rubicon after that, be it survivors or a new generation of settlers, could do so free of the temptation of coral, free of the bloodshed. In zero, the player fights to prevent a reset from happening, but in armoured core, the player is the one fighting to ensure it will happen.
Well, partially right in a sense. The Fires of Ibis was actually a man made disaster. It being a result of coral was a partial red herring. What you're actually trying to prevent is what happens in the 3rd route, which everyone who knew about it feared because they had no idea what would happen to humanity, fuguring it would lead to some sort of collapse.
I always thought about how cool it would be to see the cipher/pixy final battle with gundam/armored cores instead of jets. This scratched a very specific itch in my brain lol.
Now if we could just have a proper serious arcade sim game that combined both flight & fight, both planes & mechas, something akin to MACROSS, then we might actually have a trinity of machine power fantasy.
I mean from software could make a AC style game in the gundam franchise since later on in the Universal century before f91 transformable mobile suits and MS capable of entering a flight form are pretty common, they could make the same controls of AC but then with a Button you transgorm and instantly get access to ace combat controls, giving birth to a fast, in depth and full of possible comboes sistem easy to Learn but very hard to master. Imagine mid fight a re zel transforms, pulls out a post STALL manouver dodging missiles Snd shots and while changing back in mecha pulls out a beam saber. That could be a combat even deeper than how armored core already is. Now that i think about i want to make this game myself, i gotta Learn to use unity asap
Adding to post above, AC4 had High Velocity Boosters used for certain missions. This lands credence we could see flight mode as a player tool in a future mech game.
That actually a good fanfiction man, 621/Raven disappeared never see again and in actual he or she get set to the world of ace combat meeting pixy remainded him of Rusty feeling guilty what he have done.
I knew this was going to be a thing the moment Rusty called you "Buddy." I began having flash back. OH and about your description, how about just using the laser lance (or a melee weapon)? You know, since the entire theme of fighting pixy were knights jousting each other lmao.
Late to this but I did actually try the laser lance and it did like 50% of his health bar in a combo at one point which is why I was weary about using melee only on him. Might try a weaker weapon like the pulse blade and see what the result is though.
@@MRCoolmanistman, either the ai's gotta get better or weapons needs to be nerf lmao. Right when we're about to get to the good part, apparently we blew our load to early and now they're all dead.
When I got to this fight for the first time, I actually remember invoking Pixy and saying out loud; "Sorry Buddy, this twisted game needs to be reset."
"Management needs you to spot the difference between these two videogame franchises about guys piloting vehicles that move real fast and shoot missiles" "They're literally the same game"
