Arms & Armor of the Border Reivers 

A presentation of the arms and armor of the Border Reivers, Anglo-Scottish raiders and robbers that formed the Border culture of Southern Scotland and Northern England from 1296-1610. The Armstrongs are considered to be one of the most notorious and powerful of the 77 recognized reiving clans and families. I give a brief history of the culture and a practical demonstration of the armor, helmets, shields, swords, axes, daggers and polearms of the Border Reiver era.
