The promotion process, like a cycle, sees one person leaving as another enters, perpetuating this cycle. Those advocating for extensions are selfish and corrupt. If one person takes a 3-year extension after their tenure, the next one will likely do the same, and so on. This slows down everything and heavily disrupts the promotion process, preventing juniors from being promoted
