Straight out of basic training, Airborne, RASP, 75th RR and 1st rotation all within one year and a half....what makes Regiment unique is that its the only special operations unit with lower enlisted privates, dudes as young as 18 years old....
Michael Aho Rasp is the toughest part once they go through this and spend time at Battalion they make it through Ranger school with no problem unless they get hurt.
Projekt6 haha Ranger school is way more harder than RASP... never went thru RASP, but I went to school, and guys from Regiment told me the same. Yes, it’s true you can’t fail Ranger school once you are Regiment. You can get as many recycles as you like. As long as you are willing, anything is possible!!!
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers. Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite Soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other Soldier. Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some. Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained Soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow. Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country. Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor. Rangers lead the way!
there is a big difference in young men who go through RIP, are RASP, and then go into the Ranger Battalion, and live and breath and train every day as real army Rangers, then those who just go to Ranger school, and then go back to there NON RANGER UNIT, NON COMBAT UNIT, AND NEVER AGAIN LIVE AS A REAL ARMY RANGER. These young boys here will go and live the real Ranger life, and they will go and fight and die as real Army Rangers, THIS IS THE TRUTH OF ARMY RANGERS, THIS IS WHAT MAKES THEM DIFFERENT THEN NAVY SEALS AND UNITS LIKE THEM. AND THIS IS THE TRUTH.....JUST WATCH THE 75TH RANGER REGIMENT VIDEOS.
This is a great honor for these graduates. I would give so much just to get accepted into that training and have the opportunity to wear the coveted tan beret. I will stop at nothing. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY
@@mswoonc keyboard warrior...I request thee do your homework as Rasp is essentially the same thing with just an updated name. Ranger indoctrination program vs ranger assessment and selection program.
It seems like that with the ones publicized online. The ones I hear about from some of the rangers they say it was like 125 started with and 9 passed. I think it has something to do with time of year.
I recently got selected for RASP about 3 weeks ago. They take in A good majority of MOS. Best to check their recruiting page. The standard is 240 PT Score with 80 in each event.
My roommate back in AIT did the interview and when we got sent to our duty stations I landed at Ft Stewart and I totally forgot he went on to RASP. Well the division barracks were right beside the welcome center barracks so I was drinking one night and this skinny ass twig comes over like what’s up Hernandez and I’m like who tf is this 100ib kid? Lmao it was my boy! He’s like it’s me Soto! He had made it through RASP and was in processing into his ranger bat at HAAF. Lmao apparently they all lose crazy weight during the training but 6 months later he was huge again. Bounced back quick. I miss good ol 3ID. God bless these brave men. Rangers Lead The Way!
but listening to the hot air of the officers' bullshit reminds me of why I wanted to get out and return home where I can choose not to live in proximity to the hypocritical propaganda of the politicians who run the Army.
It kinda was but when we were standing there at attention all you could think about is how we were finally done with training. Most of us had just finished nearly a whole year of nonstop training
I had to send this to my friend for that exact reason, im cracking the Fuck up. Not discrediting these gents at all, just music had me looking away from my phone 😂😂😂
OK, Nice to meet you, I am in US Army ROTC College, and I had learn and studied about the US Army. The Army Ranger contract requires candidates to meet the following basic standards: Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien. Have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Be 18 or older. Be able to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test (AFPT). Be eligible for a Secret Level Security Clearance. Score 50 or better on the ASVAB AFQT and have a GT (General Technical) score of 110 or higher.
there are multiple MOSs' that the 75th accepts, 11b just happens to be the most popular since the 75th is a light infantry unit. To be in the 75th, you must first go to BCT/AIT to qualify in your MOS, then go to Airborne school, then you go to RASP.
A full two years of experience after this and you could take out a half-dozen of what you were at graduation. Training to a knife's edge is great, experience is the cherry on top.
"I want to be an air-borne RANGER" In the mid 70's - I got a taste of Ranger training - in AIT - we had a caption train some of us for a few days - on the final test - physical - to get a 100 you had to beat his score- i did and about 5 others - I went to the 101st -and after Air Assault school - I looked into Ranger school - but wanted to go to Jungle Training in Panama first - Ranger would take some 12b- combat engr's -but chances where you would not go back to you're old unit - way train you?
I graduated Ranger SchooL in March 1969. We graduated in Florida after a 18 day patrol, no guess speaker, no fanfare, just pin our tabs on and load onto a bus.
Tk Hinson yes I highly agree, I remember when we received the email when Gen Shitseki at the time wanted the regular army to wear the black berets, talk about some pissed off Rangers, me included.
Was annoyed that the Rangers lost their black berets. And I'm not even an American! I guess that's what happens when those entrusted with preserving the heraldic traditions of a military organisation, are ignorant of the lineage and espirit de corps that berets engender.
I had moved to group when we were informed that they took the black beret away and gave them to cooks. All of those who proudly earned the right to wear the Black beret felt slighted and angry. I put mine in a box and have not seen it since.
I'm not American but I always relate a tan/sandy beret with the SAS and find it to be a good indication of just who the wearers of the tan/sandy berets are. I think it suits the Rangers to have a tan beret 😝
Yeah its not for everyone. I'm thinking of going AF CCT when I get out in June but I have to wait the 90 days or whatever the time line is now for prior service guys. Man if it's a dream of yours to do that. get into shape and try it or you will kick yourself in the ass for not doing it.
True... but 11B is the best way there... it’s so much harder if you are not infantry. I went to School with a lot of Intel guys and the struggle was real, especially on patrols...
i will obtain my citizenship at like sophmore year in college and in those 4 years ill prepare for RASP and ranger school, i never ever ever ever disrespected the Ranger Regiment.
Agreed, though in the end, unless you want to be a contractor your entire life, or think you can survive, long enough to retire, most other MOSs are a better life decision.
Leave for Fort Benning July 19th as an 11x with an airborne ranger option baby! Cannot wait, I graduate high school may 29th and ship out almost two months afterwards. Army Strong baby!
@@jaycehendricks9691 I'm doing you a favor by hinting in a not so subtle way to stop saying such gayness. You're going to get ridiculed mercilessly. And you aren't part of the Army yet so calm your tits.
@@ericb5666 lol, I understand that. But don't be such a dick about it. Seeing as my Recruiter says it and he is dropping is delta packet after his recruiting duty is up I dont think it's that gay. Never said I was a soldier yet either
Jayce Hendricks it’s super gay. And don’t be enamored with anything regarding your recruiter. They have numbers to meet so any nonsense, cheesy bullshit is liable to come out of their mouth.
Any MOS can go through RASP and Ranger School... Actually, there is a list of MOS's on some website that I can't remember right now, but I am sure that 31B is there... I am 74D and I am going to go through the program... Good luck bro, hope you get it!
How come they didn't have the ceremony at the Ranger Memorial? I don't agree with the Breaking Benjamin song, Last of the Mohican's played for ours, it was a lot more emotional and rewarding then hard rock. But congrats brothers, however, remember from a very former 2/75 Ranger... Getting into Battalion is a lot easier than staying in Battalion. You all now set the highest standard, graduation doesnt mean to slack. The Army looks up to you! You keep your head straight, you keep your title. RLTW
If you an Officer you met this standard: US Army Officers also have the following requirements: Grade O-1 through O-4 Qualify for TOP SECRET clearance Meet branch qualifying and Year Group specific criteria If you want to join the US Army Ranger real fast, I think you need go to US Army Officer ROTC College because it helping you a lots of opportunity of training. You get a good pay,and earn more benefits from it. ROTC College offer all the Cadet going to Ranger Challenge. I join Ranger
Back in my day it was called RIP. It was a fuckin smoke fest and our berets were black but one thing remains the same, the 75th Ranger regiment is comprised of some of the finest war fighters on the face of the planet and that's a fact. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!
There is a History Channel video called "To Hell and Back" that follows the 8 weeks of RASP. My son said that it only showed the wimpy stuff but it looked pretty tough to me!
Ranger School and RASP are two different schools. Let your chain of command know that you wish to attend RASP, however that falls on their decision to send you (solely on job performance and PT scores). Also Regiment is looking for certain soft skills, MP is not one of them but you may have the option in reclassing to Infantry, I would talk to your Schools or Re-Enlistment NCO. I just ETS'd from 2/75, with them for 5 1/2 years, any questions dont be afraid to message me, never quit. RLTW!
mikethestoryteller ! You got this Jusy remember to not give up no matter how you feel because being a ranger is a badass thing this is where i want to be in 3 yeat
same thing here bro, i want to know that too, but if i go to college i will be eligible for a citizenship so i guess it doesnt matter much since i would probably go to college first, plus the younger guys who do special ops selection dont pass with ease like the others do, special operators are normally older and on ranger forums, former rangers say that most 18-20 year olds that attend RASP fail, and normally the ones who pass are in the 22-28 range.
is there a video that shows RASP? like the full 8 weeks and the phases? a documentary like surviving the cut? they do it for ranger school but not RASP i have seen so many videos on the selection for various special operation units. But i cannot find one on RASP, and the reason i ask is because my goal is to become an Army Ranger but the only info i can get is from former rangers on ranger forums but i would like to see a video just to see exactly what its like.
Didn’t like the music they were playing. IMO trying too hard to be badass and it seemed unprofessional. They even used one of the most overplayed cliché songs for that shit
Vincent Mauron what country do you belong to? after looking at your Instagram,it appears you are a native of New Zealand. may I ask,why not serve your own country ? if you want "elite" look into the new Zealand special air service or NZSAS. modled after (in my and many other's who have been there) the best special operations unit in the world; the British SAS. you'll even get to wear a sandy beret.
i am a u.s resident and from what i have read you cant become a ranger or get a clearence unless you are a citizen? thats one of the reasons im going to college before enlisting, you sure about that? should i see a recruiter for that? should i go threw college even if its residents qualified. also have a question for you about ROTC, i would like to know if you could do ROTC but just for the training and not become an officer, because i want 11x option 40 contract as enlisted. thanks in advance
Those just show glances of it, a lot of the training they do is classified and won't ever be aired on a unclassified server or media player of any sort.
I’m 17 and only got a year left of high school , is it possible to improve myself to be able to pass the pre rasp standards ? My pt score is not good , I can run 1 mile in 11:17 (I keep improving each run and I only recently started ) how can I improve my push-ups and pull-ups fast ?
