Considering tallern rules, putting my Stormlord in ambush, strinking with it filled with bullgryns and flamers. Also putting two of my conscript squads in it to place on objektives

BlackToad Studio I totally agree about the conversions. My chapter is a second founding successor of the Ultramarines- “The Sons of Mercury”. Their armour is black with dark grey and silver accents, but the chest Aquila is gold. Their chapter symbol is the symbol for the planet/Roman god Mercury, or Hermes in Greek. The names of their battle barge (The Trismegistus), their fortress monastery (The Philosopher’s Stone), and other notable names (the Chapter Master’s power sword, “The Quicksilver”), come from medieval alchemy, in which Mercury played a large part. I’m still building up their lore as I build up their force- a lot of MkIII and MkIV armored veterans, a smattering of tactical MkVII marines and Terminators, the Primaris from the Dark Imperium set, Reivers, Aggressors, and each of the command squad Primaris (apothecary, chaplain, librarian, etc) as reinforcements to a sadly devastated chapter- I’m still working out their story, but it’s including a few of their original command being kept around as dreadnoughts, etc. Sorry to go into such detail, but you’re actually the first person (ever!) to ask. I’ve never played, so don’t know any of the players in my area, and my wife certainly isn’t interested in my little plastic army! But- thanks for your interest, and again, thanks for sharing your army with us- =][=

+Mark Brigandi That spunds awesome, I like the idea of mixed armour within the chapters ranks as it tends to show a nice bit of history. I think its pretty important when coming up with an army that you have the background and you sometimes can even place blocks on some units because they dont fit the fluff (or you dont like the model)! Facebook is a great place to look for local groups or like minded people who play often. I tend to find if you find one person who plays or a local club it tends to lead to more and more, then your wife will regret not paying attention haha! BlackToad Studio Hey, thanks for the encouragement! I’m really appreciative, and always glad to get good suggestions. I’ve kind of boycotted Facebook for the last few years (only because of other people’s attempts to drag me into their dramas), but I will probably use it or Instagram as a way to share ideas/experiences with other dedicated fans. When I get myself set up on there again, I’ll look you up- I I’d love to get some feedback on pics of my army (other than my wife- bless her- she always tells me that they’re awesome, even with all of their glaring issues!) So- thanks again- keep up the great work- and I’ll keep you posted. My main suggestion is that having some infantry in transports is a must and dont forget about grinding advance on your leman russ tanks as its a great rule and lets you fire your main weapon twice! 8th edition is the rise of the tanks! - Dom

Thankyou for your kind words. The only magnets on my Russ tanks are for crew members who sit on the sides etc, back in 7th I used them as wound counters :-)
