GOT7 was originally supposed to be JYP’s hiphop idol group but the company never really kept a consistent sound with their title tracks. The songs are all good though lol NANANA is supposed to be what they have always felt their true color as a group is, fun but still more mature RnB. This type of sound was more seen throughout their b-sides (Pray, Page, Thursday, Teenager, etc.) that leader Jay B wrote for the group. Also highly recommend the entire new EP, all songs are great and written by members. The birds are significant bc the fandom name is Ahgase which means baby bird in Korean :) Not By the Moon is based off of Romeo & Juliet which you can see with the lyrics “O swear not by the moon”, the poison and balcony, etc. It’s also from their mini album DYE which as a whole tells a story based off of Romeo & Juliet. You should react to their studio choom Poison video and Aura blindfolded video! Poison and Aura are both from the DYE mini. The member Tanya liked is the maknae and main dancer, Yugyeom! He is now signed to Jay Park’s hiphop label, AOMG, and has released several solo songs and an EP. His entire discography is amazing and worth checking out if you’re into RnB. They came out with a song after a month of leaving JYPE called Encore as well. They also have subunits in JJ Project who debuted before GOT7 in 2012 and had a comeback in 2017 and a subunit called Jus2. Also, if you react to a song called Page. Y them it should be the SBS Gayo performance. They also have a song called Come On which is awesome that they performed at MBC Gayo’s. They have a lot of stuff, technically 10 years if you include JJ Project. So it’s a lot of dance practices, some concerts on here, and a lot weekly idol and variety things to look at as well.

just found your channel, thanks for reacting to them!! yup, birds are very meaningful for us; a lot of other ppl have said it, but the fandom name is igot7, pronounced ai-gat-sebun in korean, shortened to ahgase, meaning baby bird they've incorporated a lot of birds into their mvs and choreos, which you've already noticed and will continue to see i am in love w the concept and the fandom ("welcome to the nest" is my fav fandom phrase hehe) as for nanana, i've noticed a lot of non-fans haven't really taken a particular liking to it either so thanks for your honest opinion on that haha but for us ahgases, it's what we've been wanting to hear for YEARS with limiting producing rights under jype, we didn't get to hear an unfiltered got7 sound as much as we would have liked personally, nanana does not fit the typical kpop sound so i have to disagree with that but it does sound like got7 :) non-fans are only used to got7 songs that are jype's color, which is catered towards a general, larger audience so (sad for us but) it makes sense that it doesn't fit your taste like you said not by the moon sounded more like got7, but that's the "got7" jype was molding them into, not the true them haha (they absolutely slayed it tho, one of my fav concepts for sure) so just the run down of what happened to got7 (but imagine it's bts, that way it'll prob be easier to understand how us ahgases felt since you guys are armys lol) imagine hybe only wanting half the group to resign when bts's contract ended... but they all decide to leave as seven instead of having the few who were wanted, staying (which could have guaranteed them a solid solo career) then imagine all of the members focusing on their solo careers (eg taehying or seokjin focusing on acting, other members having solo debuts, etc.) at this point, even for bts, it's hard to imagine that they'll ever comeback as a group again (a few groups have left their company together and not disbanded but have failed to ever have a comeback) luckily for us, got7 loves their fans and loves themselves even more they released a song together only a few months after leaving jype, called encore (which i recommend you check it out, i cried lmao), promising us that they will def comeback as seven non-ahgases had their doubts and kept saying they disbanded but we did not doubt them for a single moment, and amazingly they did come back!! thanks to our one and only leader jayb, got7 was also able to gain rights to all of their past music under jype so what they did this comeback was truly unprecedented and unheard of in kpop the amount of trust, patience, perseverence, and willpower needed by each of the members is still unbelievable to me sorry that was a big long but yea, that's basically what happened with got7 and why this comeback was so meaningful to us ahgases i hope you get why we've all been gushing over nanana 😭seeing them reunited as seven and happy in the mv alone makes me cry tbh i hope you do get to delve deep into them!! i got into them as an army too and you def won't regret it (dw about them disbanding, they might not have a comeback for a while but they're not going anywhere)

Thank you for reacting to Got7! Sorry for the long post below! 😁 The bird represents the fandom. Igot7 but when said in Korean sounds like Ahgase or baby bird. So I know you started off saying you weren’t sure about getting into them after “Not By The Moon” because they might disband. They always reassured fans that was not the case, it was always outside people saying they were never coming back. Also this will probably be their last comeback for a few years because some members have to enlist soon (Jay B and Jinyoung). But there are three non-Korean members that will never enlist (Jackson, Mark, and BamBam). So I just wanted to let you know that because you seemed weary of getting into them. However they have 8 years of songs/content and all the members have released solo work (5 have released at least one album). So I really hope you check them out! Like some have said Got7’s music is very diverse. Their title tracks and concepts are very different over each album. So you never know what to expect from them but they do lean more towards and R&B/ pop sound. So not everything is going to be “dark” or “cute” but a nice mix of it all. I like to call their music dreamy because it put you (or me) in a good chill mood. “Nanana”and their new EP “Got7” are what the members described as their most Got7-like album. Their b-sides overall represent their sound, especially 7 for 7 album and beyond. firstly thankyou for reacting to them! just wanted you to know not by the moon is not their last song under jype, there is breathe + last piece (double tittle track) and it is their last album under jype ( i recommend to check this two song) they make this album with "got7" in mind, the whole album screaming got7, it really define got7 because the members themselves write composed and choose what song to be include to the album, i recommend listen to this whole EP, their true sound that screaming got7 is kinda rnb mature sound but fun, like their song teenager, page, look when under jype yes the member write and composed their song but still the company had the right to choose or make changes or makes concept that suit to image that the company want the purpose of the tittle track and album is just they want the fans to listen to song and giving them a chill and happy vibe no hard sound, easy to listen the one with long hair beside jay b is yugyeom the maknae, he signed under AOMG, he already has one EP and two singles, i recommend all your fault and i want you around, his solo stuff is more dark vibe lol the one with glasses is jinyoung, he is also an actor, my favorite drama from him are he is psychometric and devil judge, he is also had a movie called "yaksha" on netflix, his upcoming drama is yumi cell 2 will be release this month, he had one single after jype called "dive", he released that song despite his busy schedule to convince the fans that he will continue doing music, and he already ready to release his first solo album, but he still looking for the right time because this boy is booked and busy with filming drama/movie the one with a peacock is mark, he already releasing some song and soon will release hist first album, i recommend last breathe, lonely, save me the one that singing after jackson in the chorus in nanana is youngjae, he already had one album and he will comeback with his 2nd album on 21 june, he also an actor had a sitcom called "so no worth it" on netflix and a web drama and i think you already know the rest 🤣 jackson, bambam, jayb AND YESS JAY B DO THAT THIRST VIDEO🤣 anyway for jay b solo i recommend fame and am pm (they are bside from his 1st solo album but has video for it)

The one with glasses that Alice and Bucky pointed out in NANANA is Jinyoung - he's an actor and has also written quite a number of songs for GOT7's discography. Following this, I'd recommend that you watch a guide to get to know the members and their personalities a bit better, then more of their recent releases: You Calling My Name, Breath, and Last Piece. If you like the darker vibe, then you can also watch If You Do, Eclipse, their debut song Girls Girls Girls, and their representative song, Hard Carry. Post-JYPE, they released Encore as a promise to fans, so it's not a song that I'd recommend to reactors unless they've become Ahgases/IGOT7, since it's much more about sentiment and the 7 years we'd journeyed with them up to that point - you can react to it if you want, but don't watch it expecting a comeback-esque song.

Bird= ahgase (Got7’s fandom’s name) Their songs style are very diverse. Do check out ‘Last Piece’ and ‘Breath’ and you can see how different their songs in 1 album can be. If you follow their solo project it will keep you quite busy 😅 you can try some of their variety show and they are very fun to watch. I am not an got7 fan but I enjoy watching them and some of their songs. Nanana was written by Jayb, the mv was produced by the same team that did Bambam mv. It is interesting to see the group pull together what they do in their solo to their new works now that they are their own boss :)

I really love them. They brought me to kpop and also to BTS. So I was an AHGASE first and then an ARMY. Love both groups so much. And the one with the glasses in Nanana and the first one who sings in Not by the moon is my bias Jinyoung. He was the reason I got to that group. I saw him in a kdrama and just fell in love. He is also an amazing actor.
