Hi Arnel, I've been a fan since I saw you cover Faithfully in that old video. I recently watched your life story with Ogie Diaz vlog. You're such a blessing to all your fans. Your life story is just unbelievable. I hope they make a Netflix episode of your story or a movie perhaps. If not yet, I hope you get to know God as well. You've covered most of the songs globally, even created yours too. Imagine one day, we see you on RU-vid, singing Gospel Songs. Everyone will be touched and get closer to God with your voice as the channel to it. Just like you said, you still have a purpose in life. There are tons of modern Christian songs. It's 2024 and i had the chance to go see Journey on February 17th man they rocked and Toto was playing there also and they kicked ass man what a show it was a wonderful time and a very special moment for me having my son right there as we sang along with both bands. Thanks Arnel for keeping Journey alive y'all were fantastic!
I got teary eyed when he said he wasn't cute, was too short, and actually thanked people for overlooking his physical imperfections. Being short is not an imperfection. It's 2023 and Journey opened their world tour in Durant, Oklahoma! Arnel was in top form, the performance was flawless and every note was in place. The media may report dysfunction but this band is operating as a well-oiled machine! Played all the favorites.
Just saw Journey on their Freedom tour in OKC last month- Arnel was awesome! I can’t believe he is 54! He has the energy of a 20 year old. The whole show was amazing! I have loved Journey since the ‘70s - I love them just as much now.
I’d love to hear them now that the new sound guy has come in. From what I have heard & read, Arnel was struggling bc he couldn’t properly hear himself. I respect him in his own right just as I do Steve Augeri & Steve Perry. Each of them has contributed so much to the band. I have only seen Arnel live once. Would love to again. What a special human being he is.
Arnel, you are the "Man". You are an amazing vocalist. I was so impressed when you stepped in and took over Lead Vocals. It brought me to tears. You are an inspiration. It goes to show that you can do anything if you put your heart and soul into it. I am 68 and have been a Lead Vocalist since I was 14. You blow me away!!!! Don't stop believing brother.
It was the way if you shut your eyes that voice was so familiar sounding. Yet was a different guy. Unbelievable. Just Wow! Love him. My first listen to both singers doing that famous song. Don't Stop Believing. Was just Wow!
They were already lowering keys to certain songs , on his very 1st tour , towards the end of the tour . To be fair his vocals were never put threw what Perry had to endure for the Escape and Frontiers tours . This is the reason he is still able to sing for the band .

Arnel doesn't deserve all the criticism he gets for replacing Steve Perry. He didn't seek out the position, they seeked HIM out. And he loves Steve like the rest of us! As much as I adore Steve Perry and am a major fan, and agree that no one can ever sound like the legend Steve, good for Arnel for trying and keeping the band alive. He does a good job and is as kind and humble as a person could be. Give him a break!
The beautiful thing that happened is that when one member of Journey heard Arnel sang he thought he’s the one and Arnel saved the group. Why do people criticise Arnel he doesn’t deserve the spite and criticisms they throw at him so cruel.
Way to go Arnel you deserve to be there. And deserve all your success much respect. I stopped listening to Journey for a while but you & your voice brought me back again. For me you breadth new life into those songs. Thank you.
Arnel Pineda is amazing! His voice is beyond describable and the music he sings with Journey makes me happy. I could listen to him for hours. If he ever appears in concert anywhere I could get to I would be thrilled to attend.
Arnel is just a natural. Super humble and gets thrown on stage in front of thousands and fits in seamlessly. Definitely one of the most inspirational stories for musicians trying to make it. And as much as I love Steve Smith’s drumming and arrangements, Deen just makes this band sound meaner and tougher and can still hold back on the ballads. And his vocals are a huge asset to this band.

I just love this video, “separate ways” made me cry every time I watch this video because of life experience, and mixed emotions as a proud Filipino seeing Arnel performing with my all time favorite rock band made me even prouder! Amazing everytime on stage, not a bit of boredom or disappointment, my hubby n I went to his concert many times everytime they are here in Eastcoast, even we drove 3-6 hrs, had fun tailgating,,, so loved all the songs he sing, the voice of a man with pure and kind soul. 😘❤

It always make me cry hearing you sing at the same time feel whatever you're feeling at that very moment. I can only imagine how tiresome tour can be but rewarding of course. I will be your forever fan, even before you guys doing Gig at Hard Rock cafe in Makati. I was working way back then at a restaurant downstair HardRock.
