Arnold Schwarzenegger carried himself like a KING! Hasn't been another movie star as alpha as him since.

Enjoyed this movie. Perfect mix of action and drama! Arnold studied the russian language with a teacher religiously for this film.

What an amazing time that was: Arnold at his peak, Reagan, and the end of Cold War in plain sight

Its still one of my fave Arnie movies, not sure why it was not well received back in 1988.

An incredibly UNTIMELY movie in that Walter Hill was on his way out, 88 was a new chapter in action as Die Hard was released, effectively sending Hill to the back of the line.

such a crap movie though, Walter Hill repeatedly just doesn't do good scripts and forces what he's trying to achieve, lots of tone-deafness in this one one of Arnold's worst love Deadwood
