Have you ever had any Opinions about Homestuck and its fandom's treatment and interpretation of quadrants as an aroace spec person? Or wanted to hear an aroace spec read on one of the fandom's most distinctive shipping dynamics? Come by and listen to some aroace spectrum folk voicing their opinions on Homestuck's (in)famous romantic quadrants!

Thoughts on vacillation: I feel like an interesting thing to consider is that vacillation could also be a sign of an unhealthy quadrantship. Where the vacillation is a result of not actually having quadrant based feelings for each other but assuming that any positive or negative feeling means they must be flush or pitch for the other person. Similar to falling into a comphet relationship for humans. Or like when tumblr teens who haven't fully figured themselves out yet but desperately want to find a label, gravitate towards identities that perhaps have meanings which are not very well defined. Damn, now I kind of want to do something with this but I feel like that would be a bummer of a fic.

As someone who is both asexual and mostly aromantic but still enjoys being in romantic relationships, I have another reason why I find quadrants intriguing. They are inherently polyamorous and are kinda built on the concept of having multiple partners who can satisfy different needs. Meanwhile I find irl polyamory an intriguing solution to the guilt of not being able to satisfy a monogamous partner while being aroace. So the quadrant system would probably be pretty helpful to me lol. I'd love to have a moirail who I know has a matesprite or kismesiss they can turn to for needs I can't meet
