Ngl, I hadn't looked at owning the #1 seed vs. #2 seed like that, but you're making a TON of sense. I do believe that the slight edge of having home-field advantage doesn't even bear out for the Eagles simply because both Niners AND Cowboys can score in bunches in that stadium specifically anyway (regular season showed us that). I do ultimately feel as though the bye week would be extremely important to gaining the "body rest and preparation" advantage. For when you are facing other formidable and physical teams (the trench warfare games) I believe that will be the deciding factor in any of these contenders getting to and past the NFC Title Game.
