It looks very full and not interested in having food, i am giving homely breed guppy for my arowana. But now it is not eating any and just swimming through the above level very slowly. Plzz answer.

Hi, my 25cm red arowana got floating head/ back problem after vomited when i change the filter sponges. Due to my carelessness i contaminated the water. Already lower water in tank, add epson salt, check water perimeter.. Still floating head, like to know if there are any medication to help it recover? Thanks
Yes mine is also with a jaguar cichlid. Mine is with the jag, a common pleco, a texas cichlid, 2 frontosa, a venistus, a smallmouth bass, 2 tinfoil barbs, and 3 silver dollars. (Smallmouth had to be taken out due to aggression on the smaller fish other than the jag and aro)
Arwana can live with anyone...forget about mouth size and all...give arowana proper food even chiken,fish and live blood worms it ll never harm any fish. 2nd thing is tank size as you want to keep arowana you have to make atleast 4 feet tank... please dont do any decoration in arowana tank.
I have a baby arowana but my problem is that it does not eat frozen food, pellets. When I purchased this almost for 10 days it didn't eat anything..After 10 days I purchased few live feeding fish it ate...I can't feed live fish all the time..Is there a solution for this??
holy crap I didn't know they ate other fish like guppies. I mean it makes sense but i saw one of these guys in the SAME TANK w goldfish and guppies (other fish around that size) at a pet store. I don't think he's supposed to be held in a tank like that LOL.

my juvenile aro doesnt eat much, barely anything at all.. ive tried carnivore pellets, crickets, meal worms, feeders .. everything. could he be THAT picky ? I recently raised the temp to 78-80.. hoping that will help
I have a 200g with an Arowana that’s a little over a foot long, about the size of the one in the intro. And I have two large oscars, both are about max size so about a foot or a little larger. One thing I never see mentioned is the cost, feeding them frozen foods I spend about $20 a week. I generally don’t feed live food as I don’t trust feeder fish.
Wrong, they develop drop eye from having fatty tissue build up behind the eye, this is caused by lack of nutrition,stress and too much lighting, avoid these 3 and Drop eye should be easily avoided

Lizards I recommend garden skinks don't just feed them any lizards, rats, cockroaches, superworm, bloodworm, earthworm, smaller fish, frog, I recommend bullfrog or tree frog you can also feed toads to them, shrimp. If you don't want live feeding, you can feed them feeds.
what should i do before putting my new arowana in the tank? Should i add anti chlorine or salt? my baby one died after i added too much salt in the water, but the catfish in the tank was fine with it.
I would avoid salt completely. Try testing your water and maybe keep some fish in there for a little bit before putting in your new aro🤔. I hope this helps!
Hey, My arowana always gets frightened whenever someone comes close near tank and i have kept parrot fish with it which trouble my arowana and he doesn’t even attack back to parrots. How do i make him aggressive or strong?
I have realized that Cichlids are pretty territorial. I introduced a baby Arowana in my community tank which had Parrots and Oscar. The Oscar almost killed it and the Parrots too were pretty aggressive. I had to return that baby Arowana and got a bigger size Arowana. The Store keeper told me to feed my Cichlids more as that was one of the reasons why my Cichlids were aggressive. I feel that it also depends on the size of the fish, since now it’s a 8 inch fish the Parrots can’t really overpower it.
Jumpy behaviour is developed from your arowana being harassed by other fish, once it has developed removing it will be a hassle, it’s best to just keep Arowana’s in a tank of their own with a single bottom feeder like a freshwater stingray,rtc or plecostomus

The exact temp should be close to 80 degrees. And the best water is tap water that has been treated with water conditioner. Do you have an update? Sorry for the late response! How is you're Arowana acting now?
