Why single out this 1 video? There is far more serious risk to the public being uploaded every hour. The bike weighs a few 100 pounds and never exceeds 200 mph. There are countless videos of 4500 pound supercars or hell cats doing over 200mph uploaded almost daily. Orange King, cleadus, ect..

His speedometer reads too fast and his watch runs too slow. He just needs to get them calibrated. He didn't do nuthin wrong.

Since the statute of limitation is run out, I’ll admit that I used to go up to 143 mph on my bike: BMW K 1200 LT, fully decked. And I split lanes at speeds in excess of 115 to 120, meaning I drove between traffic, “split lanes.” And I can tell you that’s extremely reckless what he’s doing because he’s switching back-and-forth between lanes and going out of of his lane, off the main road, etc. I got pulled over doing a very high speed. But, because the highway patrol officer who was following me, pulled that exact same stunt - of going outside of the lane and driving on the side of the road- cop lost track of me multiple times. Once I realize this cop was back there doing about 122 (which is the top out for the type of bike he was on) and my Bikes’ top- out (unmodified) was about 147, I just pulled over and waited on the side of the road and took my ticket. They towed my bike. The cop got off his bike and was shaking and couldn’t stop shaking for 15 minutes. I wouldn’t tell him where the Vin number was on my bike so it took him 30 minutes to find. Told him I didn’t know. I was super calm. My measured pulse was around 40 beats a minute because I’m an athlete but I also get very calm when I focus. Cop told the tow truck driver not to give me a ride, but he came back a few minutes later and pick me up because the cop wanted me to walk 3 miles back to the nearest exit. I saw the tow truck driver later on at Costco and bought him and his friend a pizza and he told me everything the cop said that I didn’t know. I got my bike back. The cop didn’t show up to court the first time. Instead of dropping the case, the judge said because the speed was estimated to be 110+ they weren’t gonna drop it. The cop didn’t show up to court the second time. Because- I had gone to the highway patrol and told them I’ll beat this ticket because you can’t lose sight of me and you lost sight of me multiple times, and that could’ve been a bunch of different Bikes. The cops not allowed to drive on the side of the road like that and in and out of traffic, and then pulled me over 8 miles later on a Saturday when I wasn’t the only rider and assume I’m the guy he was following. So I beat the ticket. And then I sold my bike, and I’ve never ridden a motorcycle again. I don’t know what it is, but there’s something addictive about being able to go that fast and it’s a thrill like none other. But this is utterly completely reckless, and he placed many many people in danger, and I just feel like there’s gotta be a place for people to ride their bikes like that and sign a waiver, but not on the public roads. When I used to ride, if I so much as got a thought in my head that I “might crash,” I pulled over and waited until that thought went away. The speeds are racing speeds, and these bikes belong on the track at that speed. I was dumb and reckless and young and I realized that the next time I might not get so lucky so that’s why I sold the bike. But because I know, I loved that feeling so much I’ve never ridden again. Because- I’d do it again! 💯 Because basically there’s two types of motorcycle riders Those who have crashed And those who have not crashed yet. Since I haven’t crashed yet, I decided it was time to stay in the category of “those who have not crashed” and I’d recommend the same for any other speed addicts. That was like 15 years ago I think? I don’t regret selling my bikes. I’m enjoying being around. And mostly I’m enjoying never having to get scraped up by the asphalt. By the way, I could’ve gotten up to a year. Not worth it.
