How did I not see these character parallels before?! Kendall/Michael as the second eldest son with the world on his shoulders, Shiv/Lindsay and her feckless husband Tom/Tobias, the loveable but hapless youngest son Roman/Buster, Conner/GOB as the flamboyant eldest child who insists on forging his own career but desperately wants to be included in the company, Logan/George always playing his children off one another with promises never fulfilled, hippie uncle Ewan/Oscar who disagrees philosophically but still profits from the empire, and Greg/George Michael as the young man stepping into the world trying to find his identity while being pulled in every direction… Succession just doesn’t have quite as crazy a mother figure as Lucille or a Maeby counterpart for Greg

Logan Roy meeting Lucille Bluth would be an end of civilization event

Succession is a comedy wrapped In a drama. Arrested Development is a drama wrapped in a comedy. No wonder I love both shows so much.

OK this is heat, and it makes you realize how well thought out the plot of Arrested Development was. I can totally see the show as a serious drama about money laundering Edit: OK I'm like 8 episodes into succession now this show is awesome and it actually is a lot like arrested development but definitely more dramatic

I love both of these shows. They are so similar - oddly similar. But one is light hearted comedy while the other is dark humor. Season 4 should have Ron Howard narrating. and then Cousin Greg and Tom making out.
