Jessica Walter looks so much younger and vibrant when shes just talking as herself. It just shows how awesome of an actor she is to make Lucille seem so bitter and prune faced.
RIP Jessica Walter. She portrayed Lucille with the perfect combination of wonderful and terrible. Manipulative but with they perfect amount of love behind every manipulation even if the love is her definition rather than the common person. I couldn’t picture anyone else as Lucille.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. :) The more I watch s4, the more I notice new hidden jokes and fall in love with it even more. And even though I want s5 to return to the old format, I did like seeing more of each character, how they act alone, and what they're like when they hit rock-bottom. Even though they claim they can't stand each other, they really do all need each other. Family first! It makes me sad so many people didn't give s4 a chance, or say it ruined the first 3 seasons for them. :(
It was so startling to see Lindsay like that because Portia looked fine in everything leading up to it, but seeing this makes it obvious that they went for the corpse look on purpose, which is hilarious and a relief to know Portia didn't make a huuuge mistake.
It had a slow start but, to be fair they had to catch people up on what was going on with the character's over the past ~10 years, and the character's for the most part weren't all together where you get a lot of that great interaction. Overall, season 4 was really good. Just took a little bit to get going, but once it did, it was fantastic.
If I just listen to the audio and I didn't know any better I would think that Mallory Archer is speaking in the first half of the video. Her and Lucille are similar in so many ways.
This is the best show ever! Ever ever. It's just too bad David crosses big mouth outside of acting and is aggressive politics and intolerance towards other people who don't agree with this politics really kind of stain the show now
I heard a theory that they made her look weird so it looked like she had bad plastic surgery and after viewing this, I think that may have had some validity
She might have been newly recovering from health issues during the filming. I was thinking the same thing u said! Then I recalled the news about her short problem with anorexia. (I'm not hating, btw. Portia has talked about it honestly.)
It's one of the most subtle jokes, like "Showstealer Pro", except people are always so happy to say that Hollywood actresses love their botox a little too much.
I love the show and love her but honestly it's not hard at all for me to close one eye (wink) while keeping the other fully open. But maybe I have a talent too!
I thought off-camera Portia would go back to her Australian accent, but she still sounds just like Lindsay. She must've become an American now she's married one, like Madonna with her 'British' accent.
I thought they had replaced the actress but not, she just got a bit older I think. She is still very atttractive but she was so so sexy in the earlier seasons...but that is probably more about the character always coming on to blokes.
Yeah, except she looked like that in every scene she was in, including the scenes that happened in the police station, which happened directly following the events in the season 3 finale. So......no.
Can't wait for the long awaited season 5.... I guess it will be ANUSTART again!!! And a lot of huge mistakes. And if my banana stand gets busted or wrecked will you erect it... or make my banana stand... again? Cooc a cooc a cooc a coo ya chicken. Or am I gonna blue myself all over. Who? Her ????
