Selbstgeblimpte 16 mm, Spiegelreflex Filmkamera mit 120 meter (400 Ft) Koaxialkassetten von der Firma Arnold & Richter Cine Technik aus München. Dieses Modell wurde eingeführt im Jahre 1975.
Arriflex 16SR is a movie camera product line created by Arri (Arnold & Richter Cine Technik GmbH & Co. KG Munich/Germany) in 1975. This 16SR camera series is designed for 16 mm filmmaking in Standard 16 format. 'SR' Stands for Silent Reflex.
Later on in 1982, Arri released 16SR2, for improved the function of the previous version.
In 1992, Arri released 16SR3, the latest and, the only series that can support Super 16 format in 16SR series.

A small thing but it would have been nice at the end to show how it sounds with the cover closed, since the audio wasn't changed it looks like even closed it sounds the same; etc. But great video & camera.

Mal eine Frage: Ich kenne mich mit "echtem" Film nicht aus. Wenn man den Film in die Kamera einlegt, muss das doch eigentlich im dunklen geschehen, oder? Denn der Film ist ja Lichtempfindlich. Wie wird das gemacht?

I'm just beginning to learn about film so please excuse the ignorant question, but I thought it's the dark side of the film that's supposed to be facing the lens?

The film negative has an acetate-based material, a side for the photographic emulsion. Some light could pass through the photographic emulsion and the back layer is black to prevent its reflections. That's why the lighter side facing the lenses.

This is a 16mm camera, that means the negative is 16mm wide. The length of the camera with lens is about 50 cm and the whole weighs 7.5 kg with filmstock and battery.
