Papua new guinea (unfortunately being the black sheep) doesn't stand alone in that practice to its other south pacific counterparts. As Fijians also practiced cannibalism and were the first to be sought out and named "Cannibal Isles" during the early 1800s. There is one thing that should be clarified, the act of cannibalism wasn't a daily thing where people were like "hmm I feel like eating human for dinner😂". but a ritual after tribal fights to dedicate the strength of one warrior to another. But cmon PNG has always been shrouded with mystery and complemented by its diversity of practices and culture it's a shame that it only gets highlighted for its negatives. Nice video and title bait definitely got the interests of some folks.
My goodness, this guy is delusional! Just come to Papua New Guinea and find out for yourself! It's a shame when Papua New Guineas take Fijians as our Pacific brother and sisters😡
Those involved in this video are bunch of thoughtless clowns, move on...Your country is an economic powerhouse and has huge potential to become great in this part of the world...Happy festive season!
@@JaysWorldTravels in Australia head hunters used to kill others who broke the law but didn’t eat them,I’ve heard from my grandmother some tribes resorted to cannibal because of starvation, they couldn’t forage food because they scared of being shot and wiped out from the colonists so they ate whoever passed away to stay alive,it wasn’t a thing we did normally, but back in time the head hunters was like law enforcement, strict but it kept everyone safe, you’d get killed for stealing wife, sex with wrong tribe, going onto other tribe land without permission, some sacred sites was only men and some only for women,if a man went onto womens sacred site would result in death, but it sounds harsh but yeah it keeps everyone safe, get rid of trouble people
@@JaysWorldTravels Just kidding mate. You are welcome to PNG anytime. And don't worry about been dinner for cannibals while here, just be very careful of violent criminals who are the real threat nowadays.
Those in your vlog, are they full Fijian or Solomon Islands with Fijian? Cos I can hear them speaking in Solomon Isands Pidgin! Its not normal for a Fijian to be fluent unless they are half Solo!
Doesn't even luk Pure Fijian here... maybe his part or quarter blood, if he got fijain blood then he must be from Rewa🤣🤣... Rewa ppl have similar traits to Kula or Gela ppl, can change stories and make up their own Doctrines abt their ancestors
Cannibals 🤦. Come to PNG and see for yourself. That Steven guy a Fijian, what a liar he is. What he said about PNG is a total lie. What a total jerk he is😡. PNG is beautiful and we are not cannibals.
Stories we've heard here in Fiji, our forefathers came through PNG on their voyage from Africa which a seal containing all details of our origins was lost at sea due to a big storm. PNG people originated from Mali in Africa while Fijians were from Tanganyika also in Africa.
@@BillyBoyProductions those from Africa were not the first to come to FIJI, those coming down frm PNG and Solomon were thre first colonized FIJI br tht voyagers frm Taqanika
Specify, who the canibal you met. There is no cannibal in PNG. Stop scaring people. Yeah really disatisfied with your tittle. Give a good tittle next time. By the way, we cannibalise those who brand us as cannibals.
I lives at the Western side of Papua New and this Fijian is a great liar like a five year old. Please come back PNG and with the white fellow and saw him what you have just said to him, stop lying.
Aha..cannibalism was in other parts of the world even European, just letting you know we are civilised now..please come and visit us and feel the friendliness spirit of THE KUMUL 🤣👍
