Looks a particularly well laid out site, the block edging on the pitches and road makes it very neat. It’ll be interesting to see what’s in the area to visit.
This is great because we're off to Red Kite next week. Our friends used to have a seasonal pitch there but they've moved over to a lodge on the sister site now nearby so we're looking forward to seeing it
We were there shortly before you by the look of it (left 9th). Its a stupendous site and would definitely recommend. Would have been good to meet you as you've been a great help to this relative newbie (1st summer tourers) Hope you enjoyed
I had an ancestor drown at The Mumbles in Wales on Sept 7th 1865. A Rev James Webley and he was 30. We have a letter that was read at his funeral. Interested to see Wales it always looks a nice area. Enjoy your trip. From Rob and Karynn in NZ.
The price at £35 a night for a fully serviced pitch looks very good, a lot of the CMC sites are well into the forties for a serviced pitch and anywhere in the thirties for a unlevel grass pitch, well done for the very informative videos.
Thanks for sharing Bob and Jenny, bought back fantastic memories of my visit there last October, definitely heading back there in the future found some fantastic walks for Skye you probably watched in my vlogs.
Hi Bob and Jenny, 19m south of you is the Elan Valley dams, well worth a visit. Hope you enjoyed Clywedog as that is very impressive too. I have driven past Red Kite many times but never stayed there, enjoyed the video its a stunning site, enjoy.
Looks like a lovely site. It’s been a glorious summer this year and almost too hot in the motorhome for the dogs in East Anglia last week. We nearly came home a day early. Enjoy Wales 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev
Looks a well kept site in a beautiful area, I take it that its a camping and caravan site, not a club that appeals to us because previous experience was one of very loud members who were a little worst for wear on alcohol. The site was next to Ironbridge. I like the adults only they seem nice and quiet. The bike is like mine they are a god send when your 65 makes it very enjoyable to nip to the shop or visit the villages etc. Look forward to the other adults only sites in Wales as this is an area we love. Thanks again for taking us with you, we are going to Coniston bank holiday then Cae Mawr mid September.
No, it's a private adults only site part of the Tranquil Parks scheme. It was very peaceful. Couldn't be any more different from a Camping and Caravanning Club Site!
Love the M54 and A5 roads. Driven them many times and like that there is never a lot of traffic around. The scenery in Wales is beautiful and it's nice to see green grass again. The E-bike seems to be working well too. Looking forward to the next instalment.
You actually pronounced Llanidloes rather well! Welsh is a phonetic language so each letter needs to be pronounced in general. The 'loes' is a combination of 'lo' and 'es', which you did well on your first pronunciation!
Its ok to take dogs to the red kite site....when you book you are allocated a viewing shed which spacious...we was there 2 weeks ago and dogs were there no problem.it is a great experience which i would highly recommend.
We invested in a roof top air conditioner a few years ago and never regretted it. Every year there is at least one time where we are SO grateful we installed it. 💙👍🏻
Hi guys, welcome to where I work, I live in Newtown which you would have passed on the very new bypass, I'm a driver for celtic travel based in Llanidloes, it's great to to see you both and of course poppy visit us in mid Wales, u hope you enjoyed your stay
Hope you have a lovely time in Wales, we fancied doing it this year but I fear we are going to run out of year! Look forward to watching your vlogs, it’s such a beautiful country. Enjoy - all the best, David & Rachel 👍
Hi Bob, jenny & poppy, what wonderful views. Wales is so lovely, we always took the caravan to st davids, near where puffin Island is. I hope its cooler in the motor home now, as its been really hot the last week. What wonderful memories for you both. I expect time you've read this you'll be at another site & a lot cooler. Enjoy your tour of Wales, & I look forward to the next vlog. Lots of love to you all.Linda xx ❤
It’s good to follow you on on your travels again . I’ve never been to Wales. It’s interesting to get a taste of what it’s like, by watching this. The weather has turned a good bit cooler here in Scotland. We’ve recently had thunderstorms and torrential rain 🌧The Red Kite Park looks like a nice location to drop anchor at, for a bit. The bike is a handy thing for showing us around with, Bob. I have an electric bike, which I sometimes use for runs around the local country roads.I’m just thinking that you’ll maybe come across the Travel Trolls, as they are currently touring around Wales. Enjoy your stay, Bob and Jenny, not forgetting Poppy.
i must say ive never seen a fully servaced pitch where the toilet waste can go down the same one as the waste water ive never seen anything like that before
Another great video guys, Thanks for sharing. As a local, it’s great to hear you having a go at pronouncing the Welsh names….You pronounced Llanidloes perfectly Bob! Also know as an employee of Three mobile, the signal there is quite good! All booked for the NEC in October on the Saturday…I know historically, you tend to visit the NEC during the early part of the week, but if you are around the end of the week, it would be amazing to meet you, Jenny and Poppy! I really hope you’re enjoying your Welsh tour and if you’re around the New Quay/Llandysul area, maybe we’ll see you! Have a great evening!
Thanks, not long to the NEC show. We try to go in early to film motorhomes before the crowds arrive, and try and avoid the busiest days at the weekend.
My wife and I are expat Yorkshire folk who are now pensioners in New Zealand. We so look forward to your episodes which we watch on a lunch-time. My wife particularly loves it when Jenny has to correct Bob because that is what she often has to do for me too LOL.
Came across your vlogs tonight, I’m addicted! I love how you show the route to the destinations and what to do when you arrive on site. As a newbie to caravanning, everything you are doing really helps. Thanks and keep them coming.
Like us, you have been away in your motorhome when temperatures have been very high this year. Have you considered air conditioning? If so, any makes in particular? Thanks.
Yes I always consider ac when it gets hot for those few weeks. But then, I wonder, do I want to spend thousands on ac for those few weeks. Maybe if we spent longer in southern climates, maybe, on a new Motorhome.
