I always have to smile when poppy gets up on her look out point on the back of the couch...and she really loved her run around on the beach...she nearly got blown away !!!!....and that was a lovely vintage caravan that was being turned round.

We remember that wind! We remained on Barra for a week (off-grid I might add!) instead of 3 days as Calmac cancelled sailings (for safety reasons) due to the adverse weather conditions! You parked up very near to our wild camping spot (of 4 nights) on Harris. Mr Ditton recommends not giving away wild camping locations so I won't say exactly where. But I felt rather emotional when you drove past it!
Did you get a credit for driving down pothole alley, think I would have second thoughts about that campsite ? Nice to see poppy enjoying the beech, was it a gale all day ? We have now collected our 574, am recovering from the M62 and the very long handover, must have cut a forest down for the paperwork, three and a half hours. Headache has nearly disposed !
Colin Humphries Thanks, think we must have driven through so many potholes this week, I've become immune to them. At least the ones leading to campsites are hit at lower speeds. The roads everywhere are sorely lacking maintenance. Yes it was mostly blowing a gale all day. Glad to hear you have the new van, now you need to get out there and enjoy@
Loved this video, brought back memories of our trip last year, in May, in the SUN Liked that beach camping spot where Poppy had a run on the beach. My Scotties went woof, woof, woof watching that bit. Road between Lewis & Harris, we stopped at the same spots on that road for photos. Ok, you had bad Wx, this can happen but that should not put others off visiting as the Wx up there is often beautiful. In Scotland, you just need the right gear to enjoy it flip-flops to wellies and a nice Motorhome with good central heating and comfortable living space, with a bookshelf ... for your books ... Incase the TV reception does not work.
