It was nostalgic for me to watch this video, I was just in Venice a few weeks ago and visited that exact lace shop. The very same woman (the shop owner) gave a demonstration for our group and kindly gave us each a free hand made lace doily with a cute flower sewn in. Venice is like the modern day Atlantis, the city is slowly sinking and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to have visited that beautiful city while you still can! I was in Venice when I was 7. As a child what I loved the most were all the birds that were standing on my hand while I was feeding them. Venice is very unique

Venice is at the moment my favorite city in the world. I have been there so often, it feels like home. But still every time you see something new and so beautiful. And I always keep looking forward to next time

I remember watching these episodes 8 years ago and I LOVED them. But now 8 years later I'm wondering.....how come Andrea never got to narrate????? U guys played favorites when it came to Michelle. It would have been so much better if you let both girls narrate. Michelle didn't go on this trip alone.

It snows, I was born and raised in the mountains, so I'm used to a LOT of snow, in Venice (luckily) it doens't snow that much and it doesn't stay for long on the ground (they throw salt to melt it quickly and to prevent falls on the bridges' marble stairs :D ). Last year it snowed heavily, which is kind of strange for Venice, but I have to say, snow makes Venice prettier :)

oh gosh, i LOVE venice! to me, this is one of the most beautiful cities i've ever been to and i really, really hope i can visit it again one day befor it will be gone. i think it's so sad that such a beautiful city gets destroyed by water and that it gets even worse though us humen. i would do a lot to experience this city about 300 years ago when everything still was beautiful and the duke and the duchess were living in their palace and everyone drove by boat through the city.

hello Michelle and Andrea, from Athens Greece! Did you know that also in Greece there is a technique for lace, called "kopaneli" ? See this video (starts at 1:20 that shows how its done. its called kopaneli because of the sound the wooden sticks make while they are being intertwined. an old wedding dress made out of it. (3:00) it took 2 years to make they teach it there at gavalochori. come to greece too!
