After 14 hours of flight. From Masbate to Manila, Manila to Japan and Japan to Canada, Alberta. I’m finally back. It was a pretty long journey but safe to say I made it back thankfully without any hassle. Now the journey begins to settling back to life it Canada. 😁

Welcome back! I remember watching your moving to the Philippines video years ago and got inspired. I just got my dual citizenship, but still weighing my options if moving the Philippines or staying in Toronto is for me. Best wishes!

Thanks! If you’re able to experience a long stay in the Philippines like we did. We would definitely recommend it. A couple of weeks to a month in any travel destination you’re simply a tourist. But staying in a place for a year or more allows you to see the lifestyle, culture, you would potentially be getting into. It’s definitely an eye opener. There are definite pro’s and cons. Congrats on your dual citizenship! That’s definitely an advantage of having if you plan on staying back home for a while.

Hey Ren, never thought you’d be one to want to retire in the Philippines hehehe. But glad to hear that. What part of the Philippines if you don’t mind me asking?

@@AlexMollyTV I don’t know yet. I don’t have relatives in the province. Probably live with my cousins in Pasay. Are you here in Montreal ? We should meet for lunch and chat about it

You really are both looking very good, younger looking than ever!- living in the Philippines for three years has been good for you. (I don’t think I have heard Alex speaking in Tagalog before). I wish you both success and the best to come.

Thank you very much Hope! It was definitely 3 good years. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to live and experience this at an early stage in life. It was definitely an eye opener. We’ve decided to move forward with Tagalog as a lot of our viewers have requested this during our stay in the Philippines. Although I moved to Canada at a very very young age I never fully forgot my Filipino roots. I always managed to practiced the language whenever I encountered a fellow kabayan (countryman). Out of curiosity what’s your nationality?

I just found your channel. I find it very informative, since I've lived in the states since I was 6 years years old. I've only been back to the Philippines a couple of times way back. I was considering moving back to retire, but not sure. I don't think I can give up the US conveniences. I love the country, it's beautiful, but still...I think I'm just to used to US life. I'm like Alex...I can still speak Tagalog fluently. :)

@@sansu1012 Welcome to our channel! It seems we are on the same mindset hehehe. The only thing I would say is getting this experience living in the Philippines helped clarify a couple of the blurry visions of whether we want to be living in the Philippines at retirement or staying in Canada. It’s definitely allowed us to make clearer decisions moving forward. Glad to know I have a fellow kababayan that’s also retained parts our roots.
