Arriving to West Yellowstone/ Meeting Will Stelter in Bozeman

Our journey West took us into Bozeman Montana to meet Will Stelter at his new shop where he does blacksmithing and bladesmithing. After hanging out with Will and seeing his beautiful place up in the hills of Bozeman, we went south to our destination of West Yellowstone. This is where we'l set up camp for the next several days so that we can visit Yellowstone National Park.

My dad and I worked with a guy from West Yellowstone at a powerhouse in Newburgh, NY in 1986. GREAT guy. The only Montanan I've ever met. I'm really enjoying this video series. AND, I want to get one of those "Abom 79" truckers caps. Very cool.👍

You guys are having too much fun. I hope that I can do that soon. It’s in my plans. HEY Adam… I can appreciate your being nervous on that gravel road in Montana … but THAT IS WHAT THEY DO ALL DAY…. Huge Duallies and massive horse trailers …. Heck I’ve driven my semi truck on those roads delivering heavy equipment. ABBY….. Like a kid in a candy store. Lol. ❤️

Sure is a shame we are seeing this days after you already left. I would have told you to take a short trip north to see Quake Lake where a 7.2 took out the mountain and drowned a town.

I cannot wait for the videos! I lived about 1 hour north Livingston and have not been back in years. By the way.. West Yellowstone is regularly the coldest place in the lower 48 . So keep your jacket close by.

Awesome. I never had much interest in Yellowstone but watching a few of your videos has changed my mind. We are buying a new Rockwood ESP off road pop up this winter and have a trip planned in the spring up that way. We will be staying at the Mountain KOA down the street from this one. Also Custer KOA and DuBois KOA for Grand Teton. Extremely excited and thanks for the inspiration to go out there. Safe travels.

Bozeman was my old stomping ground, went to MSU. Bozeman's not affordable for the average person to live in, very expensive. Have a good time.

We stayed at that KOA also August 2020 when we went to Yellowstone. Great place to base camp.

Hi Adam, it was great to see that you and Abby drove thru my home town Manhattan, Mt. When you went up to Wills house, those hills across the gallatin river are called the horseshoe hills. That hill you showed in your video with the rock rim is called castle rock. Just below and to the left of castle rock is a ancient fossil dig that Montana State U did decades ago. Next time your thru i would love to take you and Abby to the Oasis steak house for the best steak in montana. Thanks for your great videos!!!

since you're around Cody - I heard that Buffalo Bill Center of the West is a great museum complex to visit. Cody Firearms Museum is one of the biggest in the world!

Wow!! That Abby is wound up tighter than an eight day clock!!!!!!! Adam is gonna have to put a choker chain and hobbles on her to keep her down! I've never seen anyone get as excited as Abby. I am so glad you two are going to experience Yellowstone. I was there as a young kid and still remember it as if it were yesterday (some 70 yrs. ago!)

Abby is more excited than most kids. That is no joke! We visited Yellowstone in the ending of June. Great weather and low crowds. It does pay big to go early and see all of the animals waking up to their paradise! Have fun! Aloha!

We are heading to West Yellowstone next June from Mississippi. Going through Bozeman and staying at Hot Springs Campground before heading to Yellowstone Grizzly RV park. Appreciate your input so far. Going up to Sioux Falls then heading over to Rapid City for 3 days before heading to Bozeman.

I believe you are mixing Yosemite National Park with Yellowstone National Park. Yosemite is in California. Both are great parks and are confusing.

I'm from Bozeman....You should have been there in the 70's. What a great place is was. Not so much anymore. Have a great stay at the park.

Was just there being of august you will have a great time . I was scared about people saying how busy the park will be but it was not that bad only had one time where it was hard to find a parking spot

Trucked many years through West Yellowstone dodging tourists, elk and bison with the exception of one. Damn near totaled my Kenworth when I hit a bison just north of town.
