Welcome back tor part two of our coverage of the ARRL International DX Contest SSB edition for 2024.
In part one we were out on the GO in what could be the first video on you tube on mobile HF Contesting. So check it out .
Part two is a more conventional video as we park ourselves in front of the Yaesu FT-857D in the shack.
In this video we have the contest covered soup to nuts with on Air and band and Propagation Report at the end so stay tuned till the end as they say.

Why are some stations so rude? After you give your 59 New York they just give their call sign again without confirming the report?

It appears to the rude but it’s a contest and some among us are real competitors and if you know one you know they will stop at nothing to win 🏆. I’m more of a casual operator. Bottom line they are maximizing the QSO/per hour rate. Some consider that a contest in a contest . Hope that explains it. Thanks for watching and 73.

How can you be 59 but have to repeat 3 or 4 times?

Great question. Many non-contesters will pose this question many times but the reason is simple. Some say it’s hard to hear a particular station in the “pile up” of dozens of stations calling. You may hear “your 59 in the clear” Others say it’s easier to write “59” on all the contacts as some have thousands to log. Thanks for the question and 73.
