Yep I run the spectrum 120 amp esc a steel diff in the rear,and a steel spur, 4s lipo powerful 75 percent only breaks cvs in the rear however I likey

The metal diff ring and pinion make all the difference. You can go nuts without worrying about stripping shit. I have the arrma crown gears/pinion with composite diff case.

open the diffs on the 6s Arrma to see if you need to shim it up. Also, if you do the hot racing diff upgrade do it on camera please, almost no one has a video of it with a run session. I have the hot racing diff gear built I just haven’t used it yet on 4s. Can’t wait! But I have to do a full tear down to check bearings. That’s actually what caused the diff to blow in the first place. The plastic diffs from Arrma are about the strongest plastic gears in the industry. Great run glad to see you out there bashing

Nice setup, you will eventually have to upgrade the motor as you upgrade everything else unless you add more fans or find a better way to cool it. I see the spoiler helps the wheelie bar preventing from landing on its back. You're running 4S instead of 6S which is 100A out of the full 150A. Your plastics gears are dry right now and will wear out especially on 6S unless you lubricate it regularly. The metal gears will slowly wear out too (when hot) if you don't lubricate it regularly. I recommend drilling a hole on top of the diff casing (Align hole with crown gear) to add lubricants regularly. Thanks for sharing. 👍😁

I used to drive a couple of Schumacher menace 21 nitros with the 3 speed gearbox 70mph+ but haven't drove any RC cars faster than a tamiya for years, drones on the other hand 115mph+. 17-18t pinion is the sweet spot. We went with a 3674 2950kv motor and blx185 in my sons brcc. On 3s it flies and 4s is nuts...tried a 20t but it wasn’t good for bashing..

I just bought a new big rock 3s and I have maybe 45mins worth of run time and it's slung the tire off 3 different times. Would I be ok to put a dab of lock-tight on the lug nuts? Im new to the hobby and still learning

Did you resolve the issue of not keeping it on the ground. If you did, please share what you did to do so. I have a arrma vorteks 3s with 20t pinions and it’s hard to keep it on the ground. The way I do it on 100% is by starting slow on the trigger and then full throttle and that keeps it on the ground.

Definitely go for the hot racing heli cut ring &out drive pinion and aluminum case. 80,000wt in front & back.

Fuck yeahman! I have the same esc but I bought it and the motor from a a felony. Motors a 4074 2050kv I might thrown it all in my granite/outcast. I'm running an 18t pinion and with a blx120 and 3668 2100 kv motor right now. I'll be able to put 6s through the 2100kv motor

The diffs in mine where really low! That 3200kv flys on 4s. It broke my motor mount from power.

Late to the party, but how did those diffs hold up under 4s? Surely you trashed them because I trashed mine even just on 3s, and just went to full metal diffs - for the rear at least. I won’t upgrade any diffs until I trash them because what’s the point? Might as well break em having fun before you replace lol. Metal diffs blew out the drive shafts though. Again, I’m late, so I’m sure you’ve experienced this yourself. 🤷‍♂️

Its seems like mine does the same speed on 3s smx 6400mah battery.maybee a tad bit slower. But i cant keep wheels down at all on street. Pops wheelies all day

Its nearly Impossible to run IT at 3s 100% without turn over or wheeles. I Put Mine Back to 3s because 4s did mit Well tobmy diffs.
