I think you should keep it. They make stronger ends for the braces now and thicker axles. I think a few key parts being stronger would at least make it a mild basher that might hold up. Going back to stock isn’t gonna be strong enough either so it’s worth a shot
Make it a street speed drifter. Or sell it and invest it into the newest exb kraton like you want. But i rather see you use the truck, just gotta understand if you are to keep it its not going to be a big jumper. Id really like to see a 8s kraton custom speed build. Get it nice and low, get or make custom billet wheels, max 5 on a big motor on 12s aim for the 100mph then 150. I think the kraton, with all of its weight and sturdier structure would make one heck of a speed monster
I feel your pain Earl. I’m about 7k Australian into mine. I’ve put too much time and money in it to part with it. I have hundreds of dollars of spare parts that don’t break 🤣. Diffs were always the biggest issue with mine. It’s 12s now with vitavon front and rear bulkheads plus vitavon diffs and out drives. Problem is it’s never been heavier. Way too heavy to be a reliable basher but it sure keeps you alert when it’s driving toward you 😬
Gee Earl I've sat for many many hours and watched you fix and upgrade a lot of RC's on that bench at the old house.... Wow nice to see it again bro. And all them old vids I felt your pain every time that think broke... I remember them all.... Lol😂 now we're back here again ... Well it would be nice to see her drive round the BMX track tho I think you'll be doing repairs again. And easy for me to say you're the guy having to pay out man....but it would be swell to see it out again❤
It’s growing on me… hell Earl, might as well give it one more chance… if something breaks that shouldn’t have, then fix that part and sign it and put it up for auction 🤙🏻
If you are going to put money into it getting it running I would keep it. Otherwise I would have saved it for parts or dumped it as is and bought the new 8S EXB Kraton.

Would be an awesome rc if it wasn’t so prone to breaking. I admit that I do kinda baby my fifth scale outcast because I’m scared to break it. It seems to take a pretty good beating though
Earl! Have you ever sat back & thought about how much money you've spent in RCs over the years? I spent over $10k last year alone! I have to buy (2) of each RC cause I have a son that loves the hobby as well! I recently said that's enough, I'm not buying anything else for awhile. A week later I bought (2) muddbosses & the sky rc auto wheel balancer. Balancing wheels made such a difference that we balance wheels on every rc now! Makes the rc run so much smoother. Definitely took some time to figure out that skyrc wheel balancer but again we feel it makes a huge difference when running the street rcs. Let me know if you've seen that wheel balancer yet & thoughts? It has some bad reviews but once you figure how to calibrate it & how it works, I feel its a great tool!

So i have a new kraton 6s v5.im having an issue with the front diff,diffing out.what diff oil would you recomend,front,center,and rear.i just do some normal bashing,but im tired of the front tires turning into pizza cutters.

Rich is a great driver but he has heavily edited videos, pushing hard to sell arrma and m2c. I have a kraton 6s with all m2c from watching him. The 6s kraton can't take those crazy high jumps he shows without major maintenance and $$$. There's no way in hell the 8s can take it.
