This is the exact setup I want- 2200kv Castle motor, MM2, SPC 4300mah 6s Lipo, but keep the stock steering servo. Thanks for the ideas!

I know this is a older post but I'm going bananas with a electric conversion on my associated mgt 4.6 . It uses a center diff now and the largest size spur gear I can use is a 46 tooth. And the smallest pinion gear I have is a 11 tooth. Whats the spur vs pinion on you're kraton ? Will this combo system hold up ?

my revo isgeared 20 54 and has no heat issue. you can gear up man 2200kv is a beast.

I'm happy with the stock system in my talion, it has been reliable and powerful, but I always want more power. Would it be worth upgrading to the castle 2200. Would the power difference be worth the 300$ it would cost or is it marginal. Thanks.

+R/C Addict Makuloco Since you've been running this setup for a couple of months now. How are the smaller screws for the motor mount working out for you? I'm wanting to swap a Mamba into my Arrma Senton Short course truck. I'm just weary of the 3mm motor mount screws for the Mamba.

Clean set up on your ARRMA rig! I am thinking about running in my v2 Infraction the 1/8 Mamba Monster X ESC/1512-1800KV Sensored Brushless Motor Combo w/ the 6.5mm Bullet connectors..

Both my 1/8 castle motors have two different size screw holes on the mounting end. So the big screws you had probably would have worked if you had spun the motor around to the next screw hole

The motor hole threads are M4 (original motor) and the Castle 1515 uses M3 which is pretty much standard, The M4 bolt holes are optional on some motors. Not on any Castle Motors... Tenshock and Tekin uses M4 as optional. There are very few instances where you are going to strip or brake an M3 bolt out of the motor.

I am doing this exact setup to mine right now as well why don't you need the on off switch and will this make it turn on automatically when you connect the battery?

nice motor is that the combo you got? i have the ezrun max8 2200kv motor combo for my arrma talion will it be ok to use the castle cap pack for this combo? just to be safe?

the way you ziptied the wires of the motor on to the roll cage, wont they touch the motor and get melt?

i have a mamba monster 2 but the motor is a 2600 kv brushless 1:8th scale motor and im waiting on a 6s lipo all the electronics i have is for the traxxas slash 4x4

So, with your mesh that loose and the pinion not lined up, you didn't tear through that pinion in the first pack? Looks like you should have had it a bit tighter mesh with the pinion moved forward a mm or two. What did you do about the screw heads of 3mm screws vs the larger heads of the 4mm screws you took out? I would think the 3mm heads (especially button heads) would end up ripping through the motor mount slots. Probably should have at least used cap heads, or drilled out the motor screws and retapped it for 4mm. Crazy that castle runs 3mm like that. That's a lot of weight to hold up for 2 tiny 3mm screws. I noticed that on my ERBE that the motor has tiny 3mm screws holding it in. In my savage flux, it uses a clamp style mount which wraps the motor can and seems like it would handle a lot more slapping on the ground. I know this is an old vid, just kind of asking how it's held up with those screws and with that mesh, especially since this was 3 yrs ago.

Is there a difference between the green mm 2200kv and the black one that comes in the brushless e maxx i have the black one with the mmx esc

Why are you still using Deans plugs? Thats old airplane technology they don't have enough contact area for high current draw try XT90 & eliminate the bottleneck bro.

Hi I have Many Questions for you and Hoping You will Help a Brother out. I have the E-Maxx Water proof 4X4 Brushless Truck. Everything is What it come with. In the Box. I just Recieved ALOT of Parts from a delivery. I just have Many Questions and I was told that This Truck is NOT going to be ANY Good for the Lipo 6's Batteries if i was to get them. The Guy told me that I would Be Putting Thousands of Dollars into this E-Maxx Truck With-in a Week. Is that True?? The Motor that Come with this truck... Is Black and with white connector, Yellow, & Blue. It Says 6S LIPO / JUST LIKE I HAVE WROTE IT Back here.
