My first build video, hope it helps some guys out . Thanks to Arrma for sendind me one out for an early review #arrmalimitlessv2 #arrmalimitlessbuild #arrmalimitless #onyxrcpowersystems
It's nice to see how someone else does their builds. You definitely do things differently than I do. It's also nice to see someone who recognizes droop screws and doesn't call them ride height screws.
I’m a big fan of running differential ( not locked up ) as the rc is really stable on my uneven roads awesome information 👍fluid is all on experience temperature of your area in the differential thinner fluids really good to learn on and increase as your skills get better love the vid 👍
That tip about not setting your ride height with droop screws I think is super important. I had a car that wouldn’t go straight and I believe it was a drop screw that was extended way out and I ended up crooked. This changed my ride height without realizing it. Also shortening the front shock travel seems like a great idea. Thanks for your time and the pro tips you’ve just revealed! Great video
Can’t believe the minimal work you do and the incredible speeds you get. I’m doing carbon / titanium/ spools, scorched everything and get no where near your speeds . Definitely have this speed running game down, thanks for the tips 👍🙏😎
Great 👍🏻 thank you for your first building video! For sure I can watch hundreds of other guys doing it, but it’s a pleasure to see what’s your way! Never thought I’d see you doing that for us🤔 Please keep some more parts coming!
And that's what I love about this hobby. The customization and unique builds. I'm glad you mention rake because some people don't have no idea what I be saying when I mention that. But I like the non lock diff and I'm surprised to hear thicker diff oil in the front than the rear. Seems to be a common setup in the racing world too. I swear we need to have RC tuning class 101 1st semester and 102 2nd semester 🤣💪🏾
Great information. I just picked up a Limitless V2. I am definitely going to use a similar shock setup to keep it planted. I really like the idea of the fuel tube around the rear shock shaft.
My man. Great work!! Thank you for the scoop and McCoy tricks to help. You are wisdom don’t never forget. We all look up to you. Definitely fixing up my shocks first. Have fun man!
Thank you so much for your very informative set up video. Love it when people like yourself share. IMO YOU ARE AT TOP SPEEDRUNNER, LIVING LEGEND at this hobby..and yet still down to earth regular person willing to share...
Thanks for putting the time in to explain how you run your cars, let’s see if we can get another world record thanks James all the best from the UK 🇬🇧😁👊🏻👊🏻
Yes! Sealed can was my choice for my 4070 cm. Most get the can with holes to help disperse heat but I prefer sealed keep the dirt out plus geared safely with fans you'll be alright. Great motor for the limitless probably the best actually.
Yeah perfect point on the droop screws. They ruin the chassis plate as well over time...too much tension on the arms especially with heavy duty springs
The long videos are perfect when you are doing your building. Plus I think it enhances the RU-vid algorithm watch time stuff. Videos are informative and the ones interested probably don’t mind the long videos either.
Thank you for the set up. Very good information. Question. When not using grub droop screws. Do you take out the slop in the upper and lower shock pivots or do you just let them ride free?
Great build video really informative, it's good to see how you go about setting up a car from others that I've watched. I'll give you 10/10 for using the metric measurements 🤣😂😎
there it is right there the world record holder revealing his tricks...pretty valuable info for an idiot like me whos never built a speed rig..i might have to snag me one of these bad boys
That's crazy I would think a smaller can motor like that could get to those speeds. I collecting parts for my first speed runner build now. Got the limitless v2 in layaway and already got the spektrum 780kv motor and max5. But that max 5 isn't gonna be enough I'm sure. I'm also gonna have to gear to the moon with this motor but it should stay cooler lol. Subbed ya too.
I look forward to new videos to highlight something useful for myself. Thank you for these videos. And I have this question: What kind of oil do you pour into the shock absorbers themselves?
@@jamesmccoy204 Thank you. I look forward to new records and I hope to get involved with you in this speedrun race. But I'm only at the beginning of the way)))
Love the video. Great short work👍 I really need to search for better roads. Pretty much a great starting and finishing point for everyone depending on roads. Thank you for doing this👍❤️
Thank you, Diff gear ratio changes dont really make a car faster because you will have to adjust the spur / pinion gears to , in order to not be over geared. The end gear ratio will end up the same
Jimmy, how the hell are you holding on to the shock shaft with the shock tool while the shaft is completely covered with fuel tubing in order to tighten the shock bottom? In the front I had to hold on to the shaft while I screwed on the bottom plastic screw putting some pressure on the tubing until I tightened down the shock bottom. Also are you unscrewing the droop screws? Thanks in Advance James
I’m having a hard time deciding between the Limitless and the Infraction. I want to run one of the deltaplastiks bodies and have most everything ready to go, could you share with me any important differences between the two cars, I appreciate your help very much
It really depends on a few things , the distance you have to run and stop , the motor , some motors have braking than others are a couple of things, On this car I started at 65% but that will go up as the speed increases because I will be using more road for the pass and less for braking
