I wish you were my neighbor Earl… I have like 7k worth of upgrades to put on my BMW and sense my motorcycle accident I haven’t been able to do it… I would pay you for helping me and I know it would be done right👍🏻
I'd say that was a fluke break. Glad to see the stock part was only $7. The 4s line is damn near perfect in my opinion. All the fun and similar power to the 6s line without the worry of bending parts (chassis, driveshafts, towers) or diffs exploding every other run. The 2.5 chassis is super durable too
Another good video with useful information. Bookmarked for future reference for when I need to do shock maintenance on Outcast. Ouch! That guy's leg looks painful. He is lucky you are around and willing to help him out.
So I have the 4s v2 outcast. If I order a new chassis are they gonna send me a center diff style chassis and I will have to order a diff as well? I wonder if they’re interchangeable. I’m glad I ordered a chassis before the 2.5 came out. The chassis broke where the front arm connects. It ripped the whole arm off. At least I’ll have one more chassis before having to switch over. I like the slipper clutch it works great
Chassis should be the same the motor box assembly ( slipper clutch area) are different as the center differential one has a spacer to make it bigger I believe it’s called the power module that’s what different
the metal washer has to be between the piston and shock shaft. It will break the piston the way you have it now. 2nd. the shocks are longer on the rear. that's why the springs are longer on the rear. if you measure the shocks you will find the rear has to have the longer spring. and yes M2C pistons work great... My 2Cent
@@earlmoorhead5555 oooppss my bad. i did that modification and i forgot i put Kraton rear shock on my Outcast. when you said that i remembered. My apologies
I showed on the last video on the shocks I took the front as I had spare front shocks from a crash I had 4 front springs all are the same from my Kraton 8s I’ve never replaced rear Kraton shocks and the front Kraton shocks are the same as outcast shocks all around ?
@allenpatterson3504 I never think that no one knows everything and if I can learn something I’d like to know for sure 👍 I found it odd that my older shock springs are longer then the newer ExB shock springs! I try to understand some of the changes made to the ExB shocks
