I bought my kids each a Gorgon one red one green. And, I just bought myself the black RTA. Thanks for both of your great Gorgon videos at that track. It helped with the purchase of the Gorgon.
@@mxacres if I may ask. You are running another brushed motor correct? My question would be is it better to stay with a brushed motor or bump up the a brushless system. That Gorgon in that video was flat getting with the program I was impressed how much power I had with a brushed motor. I’m excited to see what is going to happen in your next video when you do a little more tweaking to the garden I’m sure you probably will put it in the description. It would be great to see what your set up is when you’re all done with it. We have no intentions of racing anything there’s a couple local tracks we could just go out and play around on. We just like to go out and let them rip and go over some small jumps. Thanks for responding. I greatly appreciate it. I’m 100% new to this hobby so I’m just trying to get myself educated.
I bought the $139 Gorgon a few weeks ago and it has quickly become my go to RC for just playing around. With better shock oil and thicker diff fluid it’s a great truck.
I have seen a lot of good things about this truck. One RU-vidr that reviews almost everything thought the Gorgon was one of top r/c releases of last year. One of things that's always impressive is how it lands after a jump. I thought your Gorgon really turned well. At the price and it's appearance this is something that can get more younger kids into r/c.
Dude I just got mine and ran it and it’s so good even stock. Stock doesn’t have the best top speed but man, it handles like a fly on water! Make a little track in a parking lot using cones that zig zags and this thing is amazing. It accelerates fast and handles unusually well for a monster truck design. I had mine out doing figure 8s around big puddles in a parking lot with a jump in the middle and it was fucking awesome. I’m running 6s rigs and this is just as fun. I’ll probably keep this bone stock for a good while or mild run 2s ~35mph brushless
i always been a traxxas fan but im really liking the gorgon. the mid motor set up will handle much better than traxxas' outdated rear motor design. about 5 years ago i converted my rustler to a mid motor using the stock chassis. it will out perform a stock rustler any way you wanna run it.
Cool to see some track footage of this truck! Thinking about one for my nephew as his first 10th scale that would see some bashing and track running. Seems like a good choice.
You got the weight right but backwards. You want the rear to squad for traction. Put 32 in the rear. I think you a bit high though. I run 37 front and 35 rear in the summer on my mugen mbx8 and on my 410.2
Any Arrma rig with a plastic chassis is amazing, same with larger traxxas cars (stampede rustler and bandit are too old IMO, slash is good). Idk why but a ton of bigger Arrma rigs have diff issues, strip gears even when they’re shimmed.
@@V8chump bandit is still my favorite, held up perfectly after 30 years with incremental improvements. I read a lot about arrma breaking, maybe I should have bought the mt10

The blue Gorgon has the same transmission but yea they’re brushless ready for sure. 139 is a steal man, just got mine and holy hell it’s really fun even stock. Top speed isn’t too high but it gets up to speed really fast, definitely fast enough for most straights on tracks or self made tight parking lot tracks like a figure 8, it’s amazing at those too.
Couldn't you have just taken out an axle and stuck that into the drill instead of making a custom axle? Or the laziest option would have been to keep it on the RC and use that as a lathe.
