First run of the Arrma Typhon 3s blx! I wanted to do a box stock speed run first just to see what it will do. No changes other than turning up the punch to 5 on the ESC. The car did 47mph which is not bad considering the small wheel diameter of the stock tires. I took out to the bash spot for some further bash testing and I was AMAZED at the airs i took and how it handles. Threw on some pre mount Trenchers and it was a total animal!! Only breakage was a pulled rear arm from the hinge pin on a pretty uneven surface landing. Thanks again to ARRMA!! Happy New Year and thanks for watching!! @ARRMARC #ARRMARC #ARRMATV

Friggin AWESOME Eric 😨!!! She moves nice with both tire sets👊. Just finally bashed mine today and I'm impressed 😱. Ran the 2OT with stockers and Badlands 2.8 and she friggin Ripped😍. Had several hard hits and high speed rolls with no breakages 👍. GPM steering blocks/spindles worked Killer 🍻. She was hanging tough racing the 6s rigs. Looks great with the Trenchers 👌. Thanks brother Rich!!👊Yeah I was going to put on a 20 tooth but the pinion I had was the wrong shaft size🤨Oh well..she still ripped!! I was simply amazed at how well she jumped. Seemed to soar better than the BR!😨She just didn't like that last landing and broke the rear arm..😮Hard to find those in stock either at the moment! Glad to hear you had a good test with it!! Damn coast to coast shipping from amain takes forever and plus the holiday. Ugggg! But it will be nice when it comes. Ps don't go buying up all the 6s A arms as I'm sure I'm gonna need some!! Lol jk. Excellent video! Amazed at the control and skill you have with the vehicle in the air landing those jumps. I also appreciated that you muted the audio during the slomo. I never like the garbled sounds when people leave the audio in during their slomo shots. Only thing lacking is background music. You've earned a new subscriber here!

😂Well it's about a 8 minute drive from the bash spot but close enough!! It is a PERFECT speed run rd. I used to run my Slash there. Got 122mph. Might work on getting this Typhon up to some speed!😨😁💪👊🤟🤟

Nice run Eric as always, my best top speed with the Typhon 3s on 4s was 72 mph. Yesterday I resale my Big Rock and Typhon 3s because I like better my two Kraton 4s and my Outcast 4s :)

How would the 3s typhon compare to a 3s traxxas 4x4 in durability? Becasue that's what I'm really looking for in my next rc car.

Overall, I think most Arrma vehicles are a little more durable than Traxxas. Of course, Traxxis being the big dog in RC, they > Arrma on availability of parts but my Typhon has been solid right out of the box. Airs and spills like a tank so far. The stock transmitter is lightweight but will get you by, but I binded to my 3-ch Futaba anyway.

Great bash! The only problems with this buggy seem to be the arms breaking and rocks getting stuck in the steering rack. Looks like a fairly lite buggy - some aluminum arms could balance the weight/durablility😁

Yeah the arm was the first thing to give but it was a fairly hard landing on probably a rock. I think its balanced perfectly and is pretty tough being all plastic. She was taking the airs my big trucks do!😱😂Thanks for watching bro!😎👊💪🤟🤟

@@RCDUDE81 i noticed in some of the vids for this that when it lands a jump flat, it tends to bounce from being light - a tad bit of weight could help. Typical 1/8 buggies are heavy - the weight sweet spot is between this typhon and common 1/8 buggies. also wondering how the tire wear is with no center diff and less torque from a 1/10 brushless system. I love my RC8.2e, but it eats tires......

I sold this car long ago but at the time didn't have many issues. You can loosen your slipper a tad. If it's too tight it'll cause it or jumping in grass with on throttle landings. I run my slippers a half turn out from full tight with blue threadlock. Sometimes they just get worn and need replacing. Hope this helps!😎👊👊

Thanks!👊 Yeah the Talion is super fast on 6s. I suppose you could run 4s at the track and be fine. The 3s Typhon would be fun on track but I see it as more of a basher. I'm sure it would do well if you tuned it a little have good skills!

All I have on here is the 2.8 Trenchers 17mm hex with the 1/2 inch offset. Didnt have any scrubbing issues.👌Stock other than that.

These are the Proline Trenchers 2.8's I was using in this vid. Made the Typhon easy in the air and hooks up great! Direct fit! You'll need two sets. Yes it will make it wider. Should direct fit right on too if you use the end axles to fit the 17mm hex wheels.😎👊

RC DUDE81 I was just looking there is 2 different part numbers for the hubs And both fit. Senton Granite and typhon all take the same Hubs front and rear. 👊😀 I love this hobby. I am putting on typhon arms 17 ml hubs that come with typhon and matching up these tires I have here. 3.8 trenchers. 👌 and I am also putting on Outcast body and parts for the Center brace. The Center brace I have to but when it comes in stock. Thanks for the help bro.

Bigger than BRCC hurts my feelings. lol. I have a new 6s Typhon on street tires that does 46mph only. Im gonna have to play with pinions on both now. HR motor mount came in today for BRCC. Have 18T to try first ;-)
