@@brosephnoonan223 I haven't seen my highschool friends for five months after they graduated and I started tit think they hated me, just yesterday one of them invited me out fr a games night and I spent two hours worrying about it and another one hour trying to write a reply trying not to anger or look mean. I'm still stressing out over it
I can relate waaay too well. Before she said she was ending the stream, I was already starting to feel anxious and thinking, "Oh god I'd have to just end my stream for the day if I was in that position."
She's one of the first girls that i heard back then in the Vtuber boom together with the four kings (Ai Kizuna, Kaguya Luna, Silver Dolphin Siro and Idol Vtuber Mirai Akari.) since almost all Vtubers had very cutesy and high voice, Shizuka were one of the first deep and calm voiced women at that time. To think she and her group grew makes me kinda old to think about it.
@@assaulthetz380 It's kinda sad how the OG vtuber are getting less recognized... (lesser audience overall and slower upload rate) They have wayyy lesser freedom then those from nijisanji/hololive in term of their content too
@@izu.. I do still watch them though but it's a lot more harder since mostly i cannot understand them anymore due to the lack of translators for them for that their views are getting lower and lower to the point they are stuck in 100K views only. Though i still watch most of them though when someone translate the video or not.
Somebody explained this in another video, but for Japanese streamers it is considered very impolite to have your viewers "invade" someone else's stream. Look at Ars. She was only shocked when she realized that her viewers came to Shizurin's stream.
I don't think that's the problem. She is just super shy and fear embarrassing other people, when her chat tries to help her she fells like it's worse as if they were adding to the problem instead of defusing it. Fear of not being accepted...
3:26 this chat is more complicated “Pigeon came flying that you didn’t notice,” [pigeon :carrier pigeon comment, in this case, comment from ars’ viewer. ] “pigeon comment” is sometimes recognized as impolite because too many pigeons have possibilities to disturb other’s streaming, so ars might have thought “I (accurately viewers but ars must have felt responsibility) disturbed shizurin’s streaming and then she used ‘pigeon’ phrase with evident sarcasm.” Shizurin may have chosen “pigeon” just as “messenger” but ars thought the situation was getting much worse. “so I put pressure on you!! *thumbs up*” Needless to say , this “pressure“ was joking but ars was totally upset so she misunderstood. Sorry for my poor English.
This may be the nail in the coffin which made Ars decide to end this stream. Not only she thought that not noticing the sleep call made them uneasy, but Ars' viewers are also disturbing her senpai's stream. I've only saw a few interactions with Ars and Shizurin, it is also possible that Shizurin does not know much about Ars' social skills, which is why her response was easily misinterpreted by Ars.
Every time I'm texting my friends, I always think "Does it look like I'm being too blunt? Do they think I'm getting fed up with them!? Should I maybe put in a 'lol' or 'lmao'- no that would make me look ridiculous!"
Same except I always put the lol or an emoji cuz if I don't it's going to bother me. I do feel kinda strange txting like that but I rather risk feeling like a teenage girl than even hacing the slight risk of being rude... Lol (cuz I don't want this comment to feel to heavy cuz its not)
If I'm joking or sum I just put lol in a message and lmao in the next, not for any reason in particular, mostly because it feels wierd if I don't. I just don't put lol followed by lol Ex: Bruh can you just [freaking] do it already lmao (lol) I don't wanna sit here waiting for 3 days lol (it would feel wierd to say lol after lol or some thing) Otherwise ig it would feel kinda blunt or mean, but I just add lol or lmao at the end since I'm just joking Idk, it doesn't bother me much if it comes off as blunt but ig if you're uncomfortable, to say the least, about coming off as blunt then just add lol after lmao (as long as it makes sense) and I think you should be fine Now if you wanna actually come off as blunt then just don't add lol or lmao and you have two different ways of expressing your thoughts through text, and if they're aware of what you're doing then they can differentiate between two different emotions and won't have the wrong idea as often. Like for example I actually hate you Vs I actually hate you lol I find it as an easy solution to express my feelings through texting Idk that's just me ig :v oh well, hope it works lol best of luck.
What really kills me is the very last second before it cuts off, you can see her sad face and it hurts my heart when that happened. I'm glad in her recent streams she is more proactive and talks with other livers!!!
I didn't realize it until someone pointed it out in the comments, but Ars was laughing it off until Shizurin mentioned a pigeon. This wasn't just normal embarrassment, that was humiliating for her, and she probably feels guilt for that happening as well. I feel so sorry for her; pigeons will happen to anyone, but for someone with low self esteem that kind of humiliation can be traumatic. :( I hope Ars can move past what happened here eventually.
At first I thought pidgeons should be no big deal but reading about how extreme some vtuber fans get when pigdgeons are involved I can't really blame Ars for ending the stream. This wouldn't be an issue at all without zealous fans creating worthless drama, but unfortunately too many people like that exist.
@@Jaime_Protein_Cannister Apparently for Japanese streamers it's considered rude to jump into a chat and talk about another streamer. Essentially Ars seems to have gotten the impression Shizurin was angry because her viewers were coming to Ars' stream to complain, which made her upset so she closed the stream early.
I'm sorry to ask, but I can't find the meaning. What is the definition of pigeon in this case? I say it being used a lot in the comment but can't seem to understand.
Aww poor Ars. No ones at fault here, but i too feel that way. Thinking she messed up she had to end stream early and leave. Poor girl, just wanna hug her. "There there, everythings fine" ^_^
Never really that interested in watching ars before. But after this clip and knowing that she might have social anxiety, I suddenly feel her on a spiritual level lol.
@@TudePrawira Yeah, from what I saw. There are probably other vtubers that are introverted or shy as Ars, though Ars is more prominent and open about it. Personally, I haven't really seen any one that is popular so shy before, she's like the representation for the introvert.
I think she was more disapointed in the viewers than anything. I myself don't see the problem with pidgeons, but if the streamer tells the views not to do it, and they still do, then of course it would get this result. Combined with Ars thinking she messed up big time.
@@NickJerrison Pigeons is a term for people who wrote messages about other streamers, like "Ebio is having trouble right now, you should go save him!" often without permission from the streamers themselves. Like a Pigeon post, hence the name. It's extremely prevalent in Minecraft streams as multiple streamers sometimes play at the same time, and viewers would want them to interact in a way or another. It's generally considered a bad manner as it's often unrelated to what the stream is about, and it also often disturb the flow of the stream itself, be it for those who are being talked to or being talked about.
Ars thinks that Rin is mad because Rin gets pigeon message so she spams ZZZZZ, not just simply because of the tone. Ars realized that her viewer disrupts her senpai stream, which is why she gets really nervous. And the fact that more pigeon messages get to Rin after Ars disconnected made the matter worse. Rin did ignore those messages and continue her stream (she's good at playing cool, so there's no way to tell what's on her mind). Ars next stream even b4 she started has a huge amount of dislikes (probably from Rin's fans) because of her pigeons. It takes a while and comments "it's okay" for her to calm down to start. It's not a simple socially awkward moment, but quite a big incident manner wise (especially since Rin is so big). I could get her in trouble since it's Japan and all
@@quangvinh144 Dam, never knew japanese fanbase are lot more different then i thought. Just because another one act badly, the vtuber gets the blame. Gee
@@stefanm.734 That was most likely backlash, because shortly after Ars ended her stream, her fans went over to Shizurin's stream and demanded her apologize to Ars.
So what I’m understanding is that Ars, when she first saw the “ZZZ” kind of made her feel bad about not noticing, but it wasn’t as bad as the viewer going to ShizuRin’s stream, and she interpreted that they were slightly annoyed, and Ars wasn’t happy herself that a pigeon might have disrupted ShizuRin’s stream? Or something along those lines.
I don't know why I thought this is one of the reason why Ars started playing Singleplayer games lately. I hope its just my weird guts. Also I can't find Ars's POV stream, did she removed it?
@@77Yuki Well, since I lost 500 quartz rolling for Musashi and still didn't got her, the least I can do is share a link properly for someone with her name.
I'm new to the Nijisanji members, but watching a couple of Ars's videos on her introvert-sy and social anxiety, ending the stream makes perfect sense, and here's why: It starts after she noticed the bombardment of sleep messages (which is understandable for Ars to think Rin was mad) But the final nail in the coffin is Shizuka Rin's message at 3:26 because it has two exclamation points. I can totally see Ars mistaking it as Rin being mad. It's never a good idea to use exclamation points on introverts, they will take it the wrong way. But honestly, I love Ars and her awkwardness, I wish the best and I'm definitely subscribing to her (even if I don't understand Japanese enough to enjoy her content).
Ars got so nervous she decided to log out and end stream lol. I hope Rin didn't feel guilty when she saw that. If I was Rin I'd probably feel bad but it's not like she did anything wrong. (I bet someone on Rin's chat told her about it though. If so, I'm wondering how did she react?)
The best way to handle this is for Rin to simply forget about this. Don't feel bad, don't mention it, don't remember it. Ars would only feel worse if she knew that she made Rin feel bad after what's already happened.
@@neobee602 I think It really was Shizurin fault. I know she didn't mean it in the bad way but it was bad move of her about capitalized zzz part to tell Ars to notice the chat log, and the finishing move was the last message she sent after Ars apologize that was the cause Ars stopped the stream. edit: I just removed a word.
@@emmakun7544 By going on other comments it isnt so much Ars or Rin fault. It is none of theirs fault. But the viewers. Supposedly it is a big no no to go on another streamers stream and tell them something about another streamer. Someone even coined it "Pidgeon". Supposedly this is rude manners in Japan. So, it was probably not just about not noticing but the fact that one of Malmals viewers went and disturbed Rins stream. Hence why she decided to quit the stream after reading what Rin responded with. I quote another commenter: "Somebody explained this in another video, but for Japanese streamers it is considered very impolite to have your viewers "invade" someone else's stream. Look at Ars. She was only shocked when she realized that her viewers came to Shizurin's stream." - anagittigana Plus, people with social anxiety (me included) have a hard time when it comes to text. We always end up imagining the worst. So, a sentence like what Rin wrote is, objectively, just a good way to get Malmals attention. But for someone with social anxiety, it might end being a totally different message. It is the same way with depression. I highly recommend Kurzgesagt and their "Loneliness" videos. They get into the whole "perceiving" and "perspective" of someone with depression or anxiety. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-n3Xv_g3g-mA.html
Well, Shizurin are one of the first members debuted when Nijisanji first started and she started interact with all Nijisanji kouhais lately and even helped some of them (i never see other first members interact with the new members tho). So they respect her like a big Yakuza or Big Boss lol. For Big Face's case, she seems to respect her to the extreme that even make her giggles and ran around and stuff when Shizurin chat with her. xD
sometimes shaved ice is also called "koori(kouri)". this is shorten version of "kakigoori(shaved ice with sweet syrup)" I don't know which koori Rin ate in this situation though :)
Mao ask them to sleep so that she can bring her new caught fox to her home safely, unfortunately when she typed that, ars is zooming the statue so she cant read the post, shizurin just spam Zzzzz to get ars to notice, that is all
I was hoping someone would translate this. I saw a clip of this and wondered what happened. I got the general idea but I wanted to know for sure. Thanks for translating it. I hope that they at least got the misunderstanding(?) resolved. Maybe through discord chat or something? I mean both Mao and Rin didn't really mind it during their respective streams. Rin at the time was out looking for zombie villagers while Mao was transporting a fox she had found to her house. And using google translate, according to a video that clipped what had happened, the comment section was saying something about "pigeon" and "messenger" and that they were too loud or something, which I assume means that some people from Rin's chat were getting mad at Ars for not noticing the Minecraft chat. But just know that it was strictly the chat getting mad and not Rin herself. On a completely different note, Rin eats ice? So is that what that crunching sound I hear time from time on her stream is? I hope her teeth are healthy enough for that. I learned in cooking class that ice has the same hardness as cement and that it's not good for your teeth to chew on them.
@azmi[へい民] Ohhhh, I see. I get it now (or so I hope I do). So Ars chat went and told Rin that she didn't notice and Ars chat made it seem like Rin was mad (but they didn't do it on purpose), along with her realizing that they became pigeons. Is that close to what happened? Still, I just hope that this doesn't traumatize her too hard to the point where she gets scared every time someone asks everyone to go to sleep.
@@AiroWultx As Azmi has explained, the one they called a "Pigeon" is actually the viewer that reported to Rin that Ars did not notice. A "Pigeon" means a viewer that goes from one Liver's stream to another stream to convey a message. Ars did not like this because she feels that it will "Disturb" the other streamer. (In this case Rin) Its just mostly Ars was worried because the chat mentioned Rin will get "angry" but Rin didn't particularly mind and was just trying to help. Rin being one of the most senior in Nijisanji plays a part because a lot of the Nijisanji members respect her.
Actually the ice cube are not that hard, especially the ones with holes. When you said as hard as cement, I assume you mean like the size of a fist or bigger. Well of course those are hard af. xD
Shiruzin is in the first batch of Nijisanji, along with Mito and Deron that debuted back in 2018 (2017)? (My opinion here) I consider them to be the first vtubers that laid the foundation for the vtuber streamers genre. Tldr: Shiruzin is a very big senpai
Tbf I really don't get it. I understand that talking about other streamers unsolicited is not polite/frowned upon, but I still cannot understand the hate for this particular case. The viewers just said Ars didn't notice the chat and probably just tried to be helpful/give some sort of confirm. Even if I consider malice from their part I cannot understand how could something like that be considered bad. To me this is absolutely acceptable: it's true they weren't asked but they didn't bring up Ars on their own in a totally unrelated enviroment, neither they have bothered Shizuka telling her to do something about Ars not going to sleep. I just don't get it, might be a huge taboo for the streaming culture, but to me is still really dumb making a big deal about this particular event (I am talking about general reception, not from Ars' view since given her personality and what I heard about her past history her reaction it is totally understandable).
Her ending the stream was most likely due to the pidgeons, but when Rin spammed "Z"s I immediately knew how Ars would interpret that. As someone with low self-esteem it's no wonder that Ars assumed that Rin is mad at her. I think Rin did make a small mistake here by spamming so much and with capital letters too, but she had no ill intention at all and just wanted to help her notice the chat so people really shouldn't blame her. Especially since Rin repeatedly tried to assure her that it's okay, but Ars probably wasn't even sure if Rin is acutally fine with her forgetting to sleep and with a pidgeon invading her stream or if she is just pretending to be fine, but fuming on the inside. Long story short: Rin had good intentions and a bad execution so introverted Ars assumed the worst and got scared, seems like an accident with noone really at fault to me.
Shizurin might not know how bad Ars' social skills yet, which is why Shizurin spoke to her like she speaks with other Niji members. It's clearly a misunderstanding.
Hmmm this is making me feel bad for getting angry at her undertale stream... But she honestly acted so evil. Ok, no, she was just being petty, like, trying to make the other players feel bad for asking her a favor.
As far as I remember English viewers comment mostly composed with: Hi, (Streamer name) Kawaii. And other perverted tenses in occasion. This one is Japanese fans that goes berserk we English viewers didn't go that far
English viewers so far sticks to simple Japanese words or simple understandable english so communication to the Japanese streamers is impossible. Although eng problems is prevelent at haato's channel (hololive)
