Just a combined version of Walcott and Craig Gardner, 'cept he doesn't even have Walcott's instincts. For all Walcott's lack of talent and intelligence, he has good instincts. If he doesn't think about what he's doing and just goes for it, he always has a chance of scoring

If we took our chances that goal wouldn't mean much...but the problem is we don't know how to set an offside trap, we had two defenders keeping Griezman onside...if they stepped up and tucked in closer, Grizeman might not have scored...not only did they keep Griezman onside, but they were out of the play so they could not help Koscielly...it's really bad defending....no communication either.
Honestly, I'd never thought we'd get the better over a Simeone side, and really had us down for a 1-2 defeat,, so judging by who our manager (still) is; this was pretty darn amazing xD
Well that's us out of the Europa League. I mean tbf I don't think Wenger is to blame for this 1 - we wasted soooooo many chances and although Welbeck played a really good game, he missed some chances and passed where all he had to do was shoot. I really had high hopes for this game and we still somehow managed to bottle it. If we don't replace our CB's in the summer then next season will be the same let down as this season has.

As a chelsea fan this game was similar to the one chelsea played barcelona at the bridge this season,we were playing so good hit the bar twice,barcelona were struggling to attack and score but one mistake by christensen fucked us up.same to this one but i feel this one is worse because atletico were down to 10 men and you lot had a lot of possesion and shots but also conceded by a stupid mistake.
I'm a Liverpool fan but Arsenal were so unlucky in this game. Even 11 vs 11 they were all over Atletico. But the normal lapse at the back (Koscielny was done a couple of years ago at the top level!) cost you dearly, and in a game you could and should have won 3-0 you're suddenly pretty much as good as out baring a small miracle. Sign a couple of top class centre-backs, or at least one, and a better holding midfielder than Xhaka, who is bang average at best, along with a keeper and you'll be right up there with someone like Luis Enrique in charge.
If Arsenal would have won tonight, it would have been a really interesting second leg, but now they have no chance. Atletico are gonna run them over at the Metropolitano and that's not even an opinion, it's a fact.
