Women's football should be televised... These ladies could teach the men's team how to win trophies. Can hardly believe I just wrote that, but I have to call it like I see it.
Sean Kastro even the England’s women’s team are doing better than men’s. Actually I was wrong about southgate’s team they actually go to the third place play off and semi finals but lost to Croatia and Belgium. Difference are there is that the women’s team got third place just one place ahead of men’s team.
This is going to break a few hearts, Alex unfortunately growing up supporting THEM. However, it doesn't bother me at all. She still gives it 100% when playing for Arsenal Ladies & she shows more bottle than our own team. However, I have to disagree on some points. We do support the team but the thing is with Arsenal, it's like pre-booking a restaurant meal with your wife to the fanciest around and you expect to be served steak with dauphinoise potatoes, but you get served egg and chips. Unfortunately, this is what we are paying for and it is down to Wenger. Yes he has given us some great memories, but his time was up around 5-6 years ago (maybe even longer!). We pay a lot of money, and what are we getting? There's no passion from him and he doesn't seem to be able to motivate the players. When we lose or are having a bad result, he stands there with his arms folded feeling sorry for himself. Compare that to Klopp or even Pochettino (as painful as it is to say!), when their team is not performing they get off their seats and want to get their team going, and simply rally the troops. Wenger's claim that "getting fourth spot is winning a trophy" was frankly embarrassing. He's lucky Uefa are money-grabbing bastards. The fact is back in the day, only the teams that won their own leagues were allowed to compete. It's called Uefa Champions League but hang on a sec, how many teams competing won their league? You get the runners-up (which I can only just tolerate), but it doesn't stop there.....you get third and fourth teams too. If it's called the Champions League, it should be champions only. Us getting fourth means the teams in Poland, Bosnia or Sweden that actually won their leagues have to miss out. Don't you think that's unfair? We need to stop aiming for top four and try to actually win something. Where is the ambition? We were supposed to move to bigger stadium to compete, but what have we actually achieved? This whole Uefa introducing third and fourth into the Champions League is just commercialised crap because they favour bigger teams and only want the money. They need to scrap that! Also if they went for just champions only in the competition, it would mean teams in their respective leagues in their own countries actually going for it rather than aiming to achieve fourth (ahem, remind you of anyone?!).
Did your cameraman really just edit out the player on the right? Ouch. Rude! Great to hear their thoughts. Need more of this from a team who are still winning. They are more than just a PR sideshow. The way Robbie was being very carefully watching his words told me everything. Break this divide and put the women's team on equal billing.
"Look what the men's team turned out like though". 2 premier league titles, 1 league cup, champions league 1-0 Semi final defeat to the most successful team in European cup history recently, currently 2 places above Arsenal. I think City have done far better than Arsenal recently.
