When Veltman was _"fouled"_ by Rice in the Arsenal v Brighton game, he literally jumped up immediately and kicked the ball at the back of Rice's legs before trying to take a free kick on a moving ball and ended up just kicking Rice. This is the thing that annoys me the most. They have no one on Sky that will ask the right questions and will challenge, because they aren't allowed and Sky wouldnt allow it. The people on ref watch should bring up the fact that Man City wasn't in a place to take the freekick with Bernardo on the floor. Why was that a yellow card but the one with Saka wasn't. Also the throw in was completely delaying play as they were mid action on taking the throw but nothing was given

Worst thing in my opinion is that they do this every single season; they introduce a new policy over the summer, go gong-ho in the first 4-6 weeks and then realize (without publicly admitting it) that they've gone overboard. It was the exact same song and dance last year with the dissent bookings. Dalot got booked twice for dissent over the same damn incident! But when Haaland is screaming in the official's head there's nothing. Absolutely ridiculous.

Remember how when Rice got sent off and Gallagher said the rolling ball was irrelevant because Brighton (veltman) never got to take the freekick because rice kicked the ball away 😂, how can you say that and then say the Leicester player kicking the ball away doesn't matter because he wasn't delaying a restart? 😂, how do you know Dermot? We never got that far 😂. He's also just confirmed trossard shouldn't have been sent off this week (despite saying it was a 2nd yellow last week) because he didn't delay a restart, Bernardo was on the floor and city wanted to set up for a free kick, nobody was looking to take it quickly therefore there was no delay. The issue here is that some refs are giving yellows for 'kicking the ball away' regardless of whether it has any impact on the game or restart time, now they want to change the narrative

There is laws, but they are not black and white. Its that simple. Lets take a gliding tackle as an example, could be perfect, could be meh, or could go totally wrong. Its still the same action. So you have to use your common sense, to determine what kind of card it has to be, if any. I saw the Arsenal games. And not Rise or Trossard, deserved a red, its that simple. Looking at their overall play until that decision, they werent near a second yellow. Simple at maximum tell them, to not do it again, or the second yellow will be given for kicken the ball away more than one time. Then fair?

The thing is, VAR should be there to help the Referee get to the right/most sensible decision, taking in any mitigation, i.e - the Bruno sending off or indeed the context of the game etc. They are either too scared or too stupid to overturn heat of the moment decisions from the on-field Referee's. Undermining them is irrelevant. The 'right' decision should always be king.

I'm confused why referees and PGMOL continue to close ranks and try and gaslight fans into believing that they made the right decisions when they are clearly wrong. I think honesty and integrity would be much better received by all fans, if they held their hands up and apologised for making a mistake and said that they are trying improve they wouldn't get half as much grief as they do. Refereeing is hard and subjective, it's reasonable and expected that some mistakes are inevitable and will likely even out over the course of a season. It's the gaslighting, lying and closing ranks that means they are creating a rod for their own backs.

These decisions are subjective and even adding in VAR they will still be subjective. The PGMOL have got themselves into a right mess with this, making decisions based on a teams reputation ( even if its false), personal bias, trying to justify previous bad decisions and having to pretend that its the letter of the law. We have seen on many occasions this season already that the letter of the law is not being applied if they don't feel like it..

Terry, stop letting the PGMOL gaslight you. "Letter of the law", and all the other BS excuses they use to justify their cheating is just that: excuses. They're not inconsistent; they're incredibly consistent. They will consistently send off an Arsenal player for whatever reason they can come up with, and Man City will consistently escape punishment for far harsher infractions. All the comments made after the fact are just to gaslight us. They're not trying to convince the fans they're cheating; they're just giving ammo to the haters, so instead of having to answer to Arsenal for all the times they've cheated us, they give the talking points to the Spurs and Liverpool fans and let them argue on their behalf. Just look at your own comment section.

There is no conspiracy against Arsenal, and they're not cheating - I'm an Arsenal fan by the way. There are seven other clubs with more yellow cards than Arsenal thus far this season. Do I think the refereeing has been poor? Yes; are they cheating? No, in my opinion. I agree with Terry when he says that referees need to use VAR more and be open to the fact that their initial on-field decisions may have been wrong.

That’s actually not true. Go watch the clip that the PGMOL released. The only time the VAR referee said anything in that exchange was to check for possible red on Veltman. The rest of the conversations were between the ref and assistant referee on the pitch. I’m not saying it wasn’t a shit call but we can’t blame refs or get upset for shit they didn’t do.

I think we need to start implementing a way to include AI referees in matches. That the refs can refer to or completely take over from human refs, cause human judgement in some cases can be horrendous, but AI with a set of rules, would not try and bend the rules, and every player would already know what script the AI is running on, and won't commit those fouls or mistakes, the human refs can still be on pitch but they only be following the decisions of the AI ref, only in positions were the AI doesn't have a clear judgement can the human ref step in and then give a reason for his decision to fans on the spot which would be displayed on the big screen. It is time we start thinking artificial intelligence, that's the only way I see this corruption and cheat ending.

The worst thing about this channel is it masquerades like a neutral channel for football debate. But it constantly pumps out all this conspiracy theory stuff about Arsenal being victims. And then when there is a genuine case of unfair treatment (I.e. Bruno’s red card that not even VAR got right) there is absolute silence from this channel.
