Thanks for the announcement about 'Stop Exploiting Loyalty' and mentioning that Crystal Palace has NOT raised ticket prices this season. I live in Eagles country and have written to the fan liaison officer to point out this exception and that they're getting noticed/praised around the country for treating fans well. Well done Spirit of Shankly for another good piece of work.
Everyone's piddlin' on about Trent but the club ISN'T about one player and, lest anyone forget, we did okay when he was out injured so there IS a future. Always will be.
Did anyone else think it was weird that Arsenals set piece coach came up to the touchline and that Sky had a camera on him . Just looked like it was all about him .
Yeah proper weird that and commentators just talking about arsenal injuries a squad all game, when the injury list wasn't so much different to ours. Such a annoying narrative to push out all game
@@scottp4357 relegation candidates both of them if my life depended on it, I could give the fig rolls a go, Jaffa cakes are the Man Utd of the of biscuit world Chunky Kit Kat is obviously the Real Madrid of the confectionary world with Liverpool / chocolate Hob Nobs getting an honourable mention
Surely the greatest honour for a Scouser/Local Lad is to be made Club Captain (not just for the odd game). I've supported the Reds since conception way back in 1952 & am so proud to be able to say that my Great Uncle Tom was the 1st Scouser (Born & raised in Kirkdale) to Captain the Reds in the 1928/29 season. He was a one Club Man signing for us in 1919 & played 375 times for the Reds finally retiring in 1930 when he went on to manage the likes of Burnley, Crystal Palace, Newport & Leicester. Hopefully Trent will stay & achieve Captain status but it's starting to look like he's on his way to Spain.
Sounds like sour grapes from Trent because Virge will be another 2 years in the captain role. He's not rounded enough to be a leader anyway and his poor performances often mirror Liverpool's worst performances.
Bradley playing on the regular would probably help with the balance of the side and stop the ridiculous amount of cross field passes that Slot clearly isn’t that enamoured with.
Trent has always given that "it's about me" vibe. That interview was super disappointing, but if i think about it, not surprising. Obviously i hope he signs, but ultimately i don't think he's integral to the future success of liverpool. Heck there were times last year when i thought we played better with Bradley in the team. Of the 3 without a contract Virgil is the most important.
Totally agree - Trent is a kinda nothing player. A half decent right back with a great pass. That’s it ! He fancies himself as some kinda pirlo but is a 6/10 most weeks. I’d be happy if he left and took his sulky face to Madrid. Nobody has ever come with an offer for Trent - if it wasn’t on a free Madrid wouldn’t be at the table either !
Got great replacement in Connor Bradley, better defender and great going forward, ten hag going United might take points of city arsenal, we already played them away
Trent has done it all for us but the way he exits if he does will matter a whole lot. He seems to be playing with a swagger but without delivering on allot of his passing then he hits one great pass he’s all cocky about it. As Vice Captain he needs to be seen as a leader of the team not of just himself.
100% man, I suspect that if he had 3 years left on his deal he´s have been benched if Bradley was fit. But Arne seems to know better than to throw that grenade into his own back yard. Trent´s getting skinned on the regular and gives the ball away more than anyone in the team and then going on about winning the Balon D´or, please. Having said that he´s given us everything and won the lot with us. I´d wish him nothing but the best if/when he moves on. But if he stays, maybe he can realise his potential and be a rock solid defender that had 15 or so goal contributions a season. Cause he´s no where near it right now and for some time.
@@johnskilly He needs to respect the club and the fans before he goes anywhere. I worry Real throw a charm offensive to get Jude more settled and if there was a fee involved Real wouldn’t even be in for him.
🎉 been saying similar for a while, out of the 3 out of contract players, he’s the easiest to replace! Fans need to stop letting the “scouser in the team” clouding their judgement!
@@StePea-y7y I want to keep him but Real do this to weaken us I feel, Barca were the same too with this shiite. Liverpool leaving him run down his contract isn’t right to get nothing for him if he goes. Mo will need replacing in the next 2 years and Virg I think is the closest to stay and both sides being happy. Trent has had his head turned but one bad session at Real and he’ll be in the bin, they are successful but they are ruthless.
Trent having that scumbag Bellingham whispering in his ear hasn’t helped matters. If he wants to go let him, the clubs bigger than Trent, always will be and if he puts a foot wrong he’ll soon be vilified, just like Bellingham is getting shit at the minute. He’s another one that’s up his own arse.
That is defo RM "balon D'or" nonsense coming from TAA. It seems like he's paving the way for an exit to RM with complete departure from reality excuses like that. It is virtually certain that, of the 3, he'd easily be the easiest to replace with enough \ different quality so that we wouldn't miss him. Mo and VVD In particular would be much more impactful losses in the sense they will be viritually impossible to replace their O + D contributions combined
Agree with Copey and Carra. I've suspected Trent is heading off for a while now. If the answer to that question isn't winning a CL for Liverpool, then he's at the wrong club. Virg and Mo will stay.
I used to do that where I'd pause the show to comment, not because I thought I knew something you didn't, but because something you said jogged my memory and I thought I'd better comment now otherwise I'll forget. Now I pause the show and type the comment, but don't post it until the show has ended, just in case my comment ends up repeating something you said.
Great result, nunez was excellent, fed off scraps, worked hard and good composer for the pass for the equaliser. Concerned about the make up of the midfield, it cant be changed this season but i dont think were gonna get over the line and win the biggest prizes with mccallister in the engine room, he just doesnt cover enough ground and win enough balls, i think if he is to really flourish at liverpool it has to be in a more advanced role.
Trent leaving on a free is annoying, but he has done really well for himself and the team, so good luck to him. Ballon Dor through? Not a hope. Miscalculated comment that i hope doesnt, but might, come back to haunt him.
TAA needs to shut his big cocky mouth. He's not even the best right back in the squad. As a defender Bradley is way better, Trent is a great passer and that is it. Yesterday he made a great pass for the goal and other than that was woeful, giving the ball away loads.
He is/was playing with an injury also in general full backs is one of the hardest positions to play in the modern game support the players long way to go and we’ve had a really positive start whatever happens to any players with contracts let’s get behind them that’s my opinion anyway
@@josephtyrrell9499he passed it to rice more than he did our own midfielders, he is literally playing like bruno Fernandes at right back for us, just hail mary passes all the time
Virgil signed a 4 year extension in August ‘21, a few weeks after returning from his acl injury. That was about a week after Trent also signed a 4 year extension. Mo signed a 3 year extension the following year. Knowing that the 3 contracts were up at the same time, maybe the club should have pushed for Mo to also sign for 4 years. Both Trent’s and Virgil’s would likely ordinarily be up for extension around the time Klopp was talking about leaving. From where I’m sitting it looks worth it to break the pay structure for Virgil and Mo. However much you pay them is going to be significantly less that whatever you’re paying in fees for their replacement, with no guarantee that works out anywhere near as well. So much has walked out the door in terms of wages in the past year or so it must be possible. If any other current players want the same tell them to do 3 90-point seasons and CL finals and we’ll talk. Trent’s gone isn’t he..
Great episode as always- it's kinda sad that we can't all collectively be on the same page anymore of celebrating a point away at a league rival in a title race, especially from coming back twice during a somewhat shite performance. That's the dystopia City have caused with the need to be perfect under the rule of 130 FC.
In Trent’s defence he can’t say he wants to win CL with Liverpool or captain the club whilst he is still negotiating a contract to stay after this season as that would reduce his bargaining power. Whilst he might still leave the only smart answer he could give to that particular question (which he would have been briefed on so as to prepare his answer) is one which is not specific to Liverpool ie win the balón d’or.
As good a Robbo is & has been, I think a priority signing should have been left back. He struggled big-time against Saka. My heart was in my mouth watching him. They targeted our full back positions.
Fast forward to 2030 and Trent playing for Villa in a Coutino 2.0 role. I always loved him for years but now it’s his vibe that’s changed and it’s bordering on arrogance and that’s what’s coming off as stinky never mind Copey’s clothes 😂
Trent thinking he can win the ballon dor is hilarious. He’s believing his own shit and the so called hype. Get rid of him, I’d gladly hold the door open on his way out
Fully agree. His heads been turned, probably influenced by £££ Bellingham ££££. Bradley is an excellent RB and not bad going forward, so we have a replacement waiting. Unwanted drama and publicity could upset the dressing room, Slot may need to have a word and remind Trent it's a team game. Players come and go, LFC don't. YNWA
Trent gave one interview and all your heads are falling off so much that you are now putting words into his mouth to suit an agenda. You are acting like he said "fck Liverpool, I am leaving on a free... Hala Madrid"! Embarrassing behaviour
On the Arsenal ref stuff, am I the only one who found it mad we didn’t get a replay of the foul that led to their second goal? Wasn’t even included in the highlights it just cut straight to the free kick. Wasn’t a single thing in that challenge Partey was just going down like a bag of shite all half.
I've definitely been one of the comment box wankers about Elliott previously - because I think he hadn't fully translated his form as a sub to when he was starting, but he was addressing that last season - but think that's a good shout that he could have opened things up on Sunday. He's another one who could kick on further under Slot.
The stupid part is if our owners had shown an even modicum amount of ambition financially we would never be here. But w/ that said if he wants to go, he NEEDS to go & we need to find a proper RB who fits this system.
Let TAA go, let him go wherever he wants he is just a player. LFC will stay, players and managers come and go. I thought after Steven Gerard I could not coupe but I did, we can deal with him and anyone else leaving. YWNA
when I was a kid I couldn't manage without Kevin Keegan, then Kenny Dalglish came in , then Gerrard, Fowler, Rush, Torres, Suarez, and now they're all gone, that's just the way it is
I understand from player camp prospective, player like Trent can ask why i am not getting Salah money. But from outside, the team, the owner, the fans, and the media, is it really though? I kinda blew my mind, a lot of people kinda assume that, from a lot of conversation i listened to.
The Steve McManaman comparison is an interesting one. A lot of your keyboard warriors who appear to rejoice in describing a player (who was one of our most consistent players during the 90s, admittedly not a vintage decade for the Reds, but still) as 'Judas' on the reggers seem to forget the club accepted a bid from Barca the season before he left. McManaman was also (as you rightly said) still on a relatively paltry wage when compared to the big earners at the club at that time because he was a homegrown product. Apparently, the club wised up at one point, but it was too late by that point. It does seem poor from a strategic point of view that these three players - all of whom are massive for us - are out of contract this summer. Be interesting to see how it plays out and if people are as quick to forget what Trent has achieved in his time with us.
Robertson comes back from Scotland duty in his shell, i call it the Steve Clark effect. We should get cover for him by signing ait nori from wolves and rotate them, get shot of simikas who’s on 70k pw!
Arthur Melo is the guy you couldn't remember ..... oops, no Paul I type while you talk, I leave the comment in so you get the benefit of the added traffic
The most recent Trent interview is scary, comes across as a proper bellend, a scouser playing for Liverpool faced with the question; Premier league (title in front of the fans), Champions league again, captain the club or balon dor… The right back for Liverpool picks the journalist popularity award, his heads gone 😂
You ain’t winning the Balon d’Or playing RB for ANYONE sorry defenders don’t win that award. If you ask Slot to rank VVD, Mo, Trent contract renewal in terms of his preference I think he’d had have Trent last. I don’t think he hates Trent like Scholes said but I think Slot doesn’t believe he needs a Trent type RB for his teams to be successful. You don’t see him taking Mo off the pitch outside of Liepzig and that was cos he was resting him for Arsenal.
Trent thinks he’s better than he really is , Real only want him to be Bellingham’s friend and to help him settle if he goes to Madrid he will regret it
For me on that Trent thing it's win the champions league again all day long, preferably with Liverpool. If he does go then let's hope it's Michael Owen all over again, where he buggers off to Madrid and the following season we win the champions league ...
Trent Robbo CANNOT defend .... How many times do we have to say this . Trent PR team is doing wonders" imagine him at Real lol 😂 HE cannot Defend . ....and Andrew Robertson please let him go .... please. nunez oh dear ... clueless headless, #limited repertoire
It's a podcast, they discuss things in differnt ways. Better than reading anything in the media, barely a journalist between em. If he wants to leave the take the vice captaincy off him and move on, no loyalty in footy, nearly all that left have done sod all after so GL to him. He can't defend so whatevs And they all use titles to grab attention if they want to grow views and potential subscribers. I haven't expect any of them to bear out in the videos for donkeys years
Matip, Thiago, Bobby, Hendo, Milner, Naby, Fabinho, Ox ALL left the club and their wages off the books, we replaced them with players on less wages, spent next to nothing on transfers and the club are still trying to act skint whilst negotiating another lucrative kit deal? Fans have every right to be pissed off, if the money ain’t going on our best players where the hell is it going?
Right backs don't win balon dors. They don't even win Diana dors. Thought he'll be leaving for a while. Tonights show just confirms it. Real Madrid have perfected this process of getting players on a free so they can pay higher wages.
Not having Gareth saying we made a rod for our own back by re-signing one of our greatest ever players. It pisses me off that we’re a supposedly big club yet we talk like this, this is how small clubs talk. This is the issue with owners like FSG proper big clubs pay their best players cos without their best players their teams are SHITE.
If Trent does decide to leave then that’s the clubs fault ultimately. I do have to say that his lack of loyalty to his boyhood club will leave a bitter taste in my opinion!. Currently it would be nice to have Bradley fit as Trent struggles for some reason recently?. I know his pass to Darwin led to the equaliser but he’s looked distant for some weeks?.
Mcmanaman isnt really crying about not being seen as a Liverpool legend and Steven Gerrard being a Liverpool legend hasn't helped him being a future Liverpool manager. Ive listened to how Beardsley got shafted out of the club and. Whelan being kicked to the curb after giving 16 years of service. Carragher needs to be very careful in how he speaks about Trent I remember who him and Gerrard called out Sterling when he was in contract talks which lead to the negative and racist newspaper coverage against him.
Nah Liverpool left it late like the did with Trent post 2014 world cup Sterling agent had every right to look after a young player younger than Saka or Palmer is now that was getting abuse being overplayed and under paid at a time the managers position was under scrutiny. Then Gerrard and Carragher where coming out with that loyalty rubbish when Liverpool nicked Sterling from QPR
A threat is local gangsters threatening Steve Gerrard into doing a U turn and withdrawing his transfer request to leave Liverpool and join Chelsea which Carragher conveniently leaves out of the story when describing Gerrard being seen as a Liverpool legend for showing perceived loyalty.
